Hi, a little update from me.
I'm still bringing lunch to work - in the habit now so I won't break it. I went to Lidl on Tuesday to do my grocery shopping. I spent £56 but that will last for over a week with fresh top-up maybe. I'm off work next week and I'm looking forward to the rest. Hopefully the weather will be good and I can spend most of it doing up my garden.
I had to spend money today at work - £2.50 tea money & £5 lottery syndicate. Apart from that, snack money for DS and groceries I haven't spent anything else this week. OH is back on Friday (he works away during the week) and wants to go for a curry on Friday night, which I can cope with. I don't think we'll be going out anywhere else, except maybe walking, so I think we can stretch to that.
I'm reading 'Millionaire Next Door' at the moment. As others have said, it is very Americanised, but still worth the read.
Right, it is very late and I'm working in the morning. Goodnight all.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

There was a knock on our door Monday night, MIL just been to asda and had bread/cake whoopsies. Last night, another knock and there she was with meat/fish whoopsies.
Only just fitted them in my freezer but they're in!
Apart from a whole chicken that wouldn't go in (75p) so we'll be having that roasted tonight with salad veggies from the garden and potato salad.
Planted some lettuce seeds today ready for 12 weeks time. The garlic is starting to grow out the front so now I need to get my onions in! Won't plant any more now for 2 weeks because we go on holiday in 12 weeks- yay!
Can't think of anything else right now though although I'm sure I'm being really moneysaving!
I just Love the Whoops stickers...........we will be having a roast beef dinner tonight from 3 pack of Extra Special Aberdeen Angus sliced beef reduced from £3.10 per pack to 10p per pack:rotfl:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Today and over the weekend I will:
- pack up and send the 2nd book I have just sold on Amazon :j
- attempt to finish the remainder of the ironing (which will probably have been added to by the time I get home)
- list more of my books on Amazon
- Count up Flossie and bank
- find something exciting but cheap to do over the weekend
- work from home tomorrow so I don't use diesel going to the office
- have NSD today
Have a good weekend everyone

Just the small round down of mortgage total today.
Complained about late delivery of a shed and have been promised £20 back, so that will go into the mortgage pot when it comes through.

I have had a bit of a relapse and back to the doctors today who thinks it may be meningitus - but not the serious kind. Still I don't feel so bad about resting in bed now!
Have had a good few days using stuff from the cupboards and did my weekly shop today for £6! Hopefully that and the allotment will see us till june.
Can't quite get over the cost of petrol and going to do my best not to use the car and make sure its as empty as possible with pumped up tyres. Took it to get puncture repaired and the nice man did it for free! Lovely!

Hello, not posted on this thread before, but think i might start!!!
Today is going to be a NSD, in fact we are going to have a lazy duvet day while we watch the grand prix!!!
Later, im planning on doing some baking, and if it doesnt rain (it has looked like its going to tip down all morning so far, but hasnt yet) i might pop out and plant some of my runner beans that ive had growing in the kitchen!
Ive done my daily clicks, and also have a few surveys to answer, so im off to do those now - will also enter some more competitions later!!0 -
Hi, do you guys mind if I join in? I'm in my last week of studying for a course at work and keep popping out to buy little treats so need to get back on track with my MF journey. All the cake and snacks is not doing much for my waistline either!
Anyway the good news is that I've just looked at my monthly budget and realised I haven't put petrol in the car all month and there's still half a tank left! I've started cycling to work and been working away a bit as well. Must keep it up and that will be another £60 a month towards the mortgage.
My small mortgage-free step for today was resisting the ready meals in M&S and defrosting a homemade one I had in the freezer. It's a start!0
