    This is a great idea. To Do

    1 - All daily clicks (as cashback sites earnings are very poor at the moment)
    2 - Check savings account Interest Rates and make sure money is in the best place.

    If I don't do item 1 you can all come round and kick me

    So far have updated Microsoft Money and have done a few survey's going to try and do some click throughs now.

    Thanks for starting this catshark :beer:

    Today I have bought 2 of those tumble drier ball things from a pound shop for emmmmm, 1 pound :D , they cost a fortune elsewhere :T :T :T .

    Not that I'll be using them till winter of course ;) .

    I bought some of those balls from a £2 place. They are hollow but they do work. I've just got more digging to do in the garden so that I can shift the trampoline and put up my long washing line again!
    Yesterday went to farmfoods as kids wanted sweets (I made them buy them).
    DH made tea all from the freezer.
    MiL brought cherry pie (reduced) from asda on monday so 2 in freezer 1 in kids bellies. They can have the other 1/2 today for pud.
    We've run out of coffee so I've still not bought any as we have lots of filter coffee around. We ought to be using it anyway as the cat's and slugs don't like it and it'll keep them off my new flower bed!

    I turned the temps on the heating timer//thermostat down last week, since it was getting warmer, the heating does still kick in, but heats the house a bit less.

    After our recent go wild moment buying podpads for T in the park, we really need to tighten our belts to cover everything without dipping into savings or the overpayment fund - heaven forbid!!

    So that means lots of meal planning, having a few cheap teas, cutting back on sweet treats etc. all add up to moneysaving. I buy cheaper brown bread for toast now, the local Somerfield charges £1.38 for wholemeal Warburton's.:eek: I still haven't found any white bread that DH likes that isn't Warburton's blue wrapper though, but he's happy to try the value version of just about everything else. He happily tries out new food from Lidl, so imho his 'bread habit' is allowed. Here's hoping the wheat farmers get a better harvest this year, doesn't the weather know we've got a timescale to be MF?:p

    Today I'm taking a couple of bananas, and seeded wraps with ham for lunch, and remembering to take my own juice and crisps saves me buying them from the vending machine at work. Bottled water and a tin of Tesco diet coke will round it off nicely.

    No plans to spend any money today, off to library after work to pick up new books - I might have a look from some MSE books while I'm there!:money:

    Hi Everyone,

    Today I will:
    • Spend as little as poss in Mr A's (didn't get there yesterday)
    • Bug DH to claim his work expenses
    • Pay something off the mortgage, even if only a £1!
    On the DFW board, they recreate this thread on a daily basis. Do people want me to do that here, or shall we just keep this thread going??

    Take care all, onwards and downwards!

    I like this thread. Baby steps to keep me motivated.

    Today I have/will:
    • Brought my packed lunch to work, so no spend in town centre;
    • Post a parcel that I have sold on ebay;
    • Transfer the money from my paypal account into my One Account;
    • Go to the gym after work to maintain my Vitality status (£5 per month gym fees);
    • Make a freezer tea so I don't need to buy food for tea;
    • Plant some courgette seeds (these seem to be the only thing I can grow successfully :o );
    • Update my finance spreadsheet.
    There, I think that's enough!

    Have a lovely day everyone! The sun is shining, the world is a beautiful place. :j
