    Morning one and all.

It looks like another good day down here atm weather wise. I'm back from my hols and it was probably the best break I've had in many years. I managed to see all the family while I was up in Sheffield, all apart from big bro who lives in Eire but I might catch him soon. The best part of the break though, and it's got me :j , was meeting up with a girl that I've known for some time but never actually met. To say we hit it off is the understatement of the year and I now feel like I've found what I've spent all my life looking for. I feel happier now than I ever have and it's safe to say that once I get things sorted out down here, I'll be on the move northwards again.

Hope no-one minds me sharing the news but as you might imagine, I'm incredibly happy at the moment :D:D:D:D:D

Take care all, have as safe a day as poss and my thoughts are with anyone in need.

    Man try :D

    Martyn you snook in :D

    morning all,

Nice here again bright and breezy, DD seems fine this morning, so she is off to school, I think it may have been the heat or stress  .

I have got some chicken pieces out of the freezer for later, not sure what I am going to do with them yet, but will work some thing out.

I am going to wash my lounge curtains today, they are full lengh ones and you need a really blowy day to get them dry, I re hang them when they are a bit damp and the creases drop out. Wouls like to try and get the car cleaned out, but I hate that job, so might leave it :D .

Hester,  I don't know if I am pleased for you or not, what will we gossip about :D , are you going to be able to cope financially ?

Aussie, good luck with the orange raid

    Morning all

Had a busy day yesterday doing not much!! Went shopping in the morning and got DGD some of her birthday present, then went round DIL and we walked the dog round to nursery to pick said DGD up. Not a good idea wearing new sandals for a longish walk. Not only did I get a blister, but half my feet were black with the dye coming off in the heat

Dishwasher is k*******d so went out last night and got a new one, its coming on Monday. Was planning to get one of those super duper all singing, all dancing american type fridge/freezers with the ice and cooled water dispenser in the front. New dishwasher has scuppered that idea, but also, did you know, cos I didn't, that those type of fridge/freezers need to be plumbed directly in to the mains water supply?? Doesn't look like I will be getting one of those when the time comes then, or there will be trunking all over the kitchen!!

Oh well, never mind. Boring housework today while listening out for the delivery man as DS has a couple of parcels being delivered today. DIL has an appt with consultant re her pregnancy today so hope that goes well.

Hope Pippad's got some good news for us soon

Have a good day everyone xxxxxx

PS Hester, happy/sorry to hear that Katy is leaving. Will miss her antics but hope you get a replacement very soon.

    Morning all

Bit later on here as I actually got up and did some exercise this morning, first time for at least 6 months. I know it helps me cope better with stress so why when I get stressed do I not do it?

A bit cooler here today. Have work at 1pm. Lots to do before. Need to nip to the allotment, plus I have gardening at the school. Need to look through the cupboards and see what needs using up.

HESTER I've read your blog and I've never shared my home with someone who's done THAT!

N9EAV sorry to hear about all your efforts being eaten, never think about rabbits in our garden, I think psycho cat would eat them, plus we have foxes. Hugs to you.

Hugs to all who need one and to those looking after poorly people.

    Have a good day all.

Two of my left toes have left home today! I can't move them at all, but that's about par for the course, if it stays with my toes I don't care.:rotfl:

SATS went well on the first day. We;d covered everything they had to answer in class, though whether they remembered it is another thing:rotfl:

Spaghetti with potatoes, beans and pesto for dinner tonight. YUM!

    Have a good day all!

Morning all, haven't caught up with the end of yesterday's thread yet, will do shortly. Looks a bit breezy out here & definitely cooler (thank heavens :) )

N9eav, that must be incredibly frustrating, all that hard work demolished :( I hope the eggs are doing ok though.

Martyn, good to have you back & glad you had such a good time - you sound very happy :T. I'll probably sound like my mother now, but take it slowly as you're still 'recovering' (for want of a better word) and you need to look after yourself too. But I am delighted you have found someone to make you smile again :happyhear

Hester - wow, what a piece of news!!!!!! Will you be having a celebration party then????

I'll be watching the international news to see any reports of an orange-tree raider...... ;)

No update from PippaD?????? Ooooh, is no news exciting news then?!?! :)

((((((to all that need them))))) and glad to hear some poorly OH's are getting better (Poggie), and hope all the poorlies/relatives are doing ok, or getting the help they need.

Study day at home for me, though likely to go into the office to make use of the photocopier :)

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all

Another lovely sunny morning here in Dorset. Had a lovely day yesterday, we went to Portland and I even had a paddle in the sea :D

As Aussielass so nicely pointed out yesterday, I am stuffing my face with all sorts of nice (fattening) things, so back on the diet with a vengeance when we get home.

DH in the forest with the dog, so have some bacon cooking ready for when they get back.

Hester, I am really pleased for you, but will really miss Katy's adventures

    Have a great day everyone
