Hi,
seeking tvl insurance for my 17 year old daughter in her name only. Tried using comparison sites but they dont seem to allow an individual policy for under 18. Haven't contacted individual companies yet. Any suggestions for best deals for a 17 year old?
thx in anticipation

my niece had a Post Office individual policy it was half of the normal adult rate0 -
I recommend Nationwide Travel Insurance. I have numerous pre-existing medical conditions and I declared them to Nationwide. They did not alter the premium of just over £75 a year for multi-trip worldwide insurance for up to 31 days per trip. Phone number is 0800 302010.0

Hi, I'm arranging a family holiday. Part of the group is a father and his children. He is going through a divorce, has access to his children, but they live with their mother. Trying to arrange insurance for them, but most policies state that children on a family policy must live "at home". Phoned one company today for suggestions and they said that it would be up to the mother to arrange insurance as she lives with them.
Anyone got any solutions for this situation? Cheers.

Post office do travel insurance
- from the site "If you’re buying single-trip travel insurance for your family, named dependent children under 18 are covered for free - as long as they are travelling with a parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt or legal guardian who has travel insurance from the Post Office®."
So if the father has insurance from the PO then the kids will be covered as far as i can see0 -
Not on the PO policy...
Family
Lone parents or two adults who are married or living together as married and an unlimited number of dependent children (including sons, daughters, grandchildren, nieces or nephews of those taking out lone parent or family cover) under the age of 18. Insured adults can travel independently but dependant children must travel with the insured adult or, under an annual multi-trip policy, be travelling to or returning from the insured adult.0 -
Has anyone insured through World First - I have received a good quote and wondered whether anyone else has used it. Thanks0
-
Should have been a bit clearer, looking for insurance with pre-existing blood pressure and am travelling to Canada for 28 days with a crusie to Alaska also. World first quoted 11.80 for single trip. Does that sound too cheap? Thanks0

I would check the policy wording very carefully to ensure it has at least £2-5 million medical cover. I would also be surprised if it covered baggage at that rate.0
