Dont say that you were not warned.
Ebuyer is the result of slack consumer power!!! (Why change what we do, when we can get away with it).
Exactly - every company I've ever dealt with on the internet have been fine, with the exception of e-buyer - purely because I've never had an order problem or faulty item. E-buyer, Dabs, Aria, MicroDirect, and I am sure a number of others have all come in for criticism regarding their customer handling when problems occur with orders or faulty items.
The only place I've ever had decent service from when encountering a problem with an item is Amazon.
One of the main problems with e-buyer though is that they're so damn cheap. This will keep a large percentage of customers shopping there.
I spent a long time trying to get the stuff I ordered from them for a comparible price elsewhere, to no avail. I was lucky to find the one remaining item cheaper (but only because I could collect = no P&P) because of a clearance offer, but for normal priced items not very many companies can genuinely compare.0 -
i too have been having a problem with ebuyer, ordered 2 processors 7 weeks ago, they took payment seven weeks ago, and i am still waiting for the goods.
i opened an enote, which they closed without resolving stating that because it had been some time ago that i opened the enote that it must be resolved now, but as that wasnt the case i had to reopen the enote. i have used ebuyer for years, but this year there has been endless amounts of trouble, i am left in limbo because they have not sent me what i paid for 7 weeks ago, its just unbelievable. i am still waiting a reply, from them. They also allocated me items, then when my delivery did not come i checked my account and then it was showing out of stock, so i had to reorder. its just one thing after another with them lately, and there has been no support from them at all.0 -
Got fed up of waiting so cancelled the order with them.
Remarkably, got an eNote within 18 hours, apologising and blaming a system error.
Offered me free shipping if I place another order, so giving them one last chance to redeem themselves, and hopefully saving about £4.
We'll see what happens!0 -
I've found ebuyer to be fine (friends have had problems with credit cards being charged with no goods in sight, but it sorted out after a bit of a wait) - but then with a faulty CDRW bought from Aria, I found the customer service non-existent. Had to pay for postage to send it back for them to check it out and was never repaid, despite what their T&Cs said (should have harassed them further but by then I'd spent the same amount again in phone bills sitting on hold to their helpdesk - gave up too easily i guess!).
I guess all of them are fine for getting things very cheaply, assuming nothing goes wrong...... If it does, prepare for a fight or a long wait (and it's not just ebuyer that messes things up!):happyhear0 -

did exactly the same as you but no such luck with the e-note (it wasn't very polite so I can understand that). Blaming a system error though? Come on do you really want to order anything again with a company that messes you about, then lies to you as to the reason?0 -
Well I am a moneysaver, and although I did question the morality of this myself, £4 off is £4 off.
The new order is going through fine as I have just checed the status, delivery Monday.0 -
You know what I say, if ya want to use Ebuyer, use Ebuyer! But dont come posting when the sh*t hits the fan!Nuff Said...........

I only use Aria and Ebuyer now for very low value items that are not critical to my pc, and which are unlikely to go seriously wrong (e.g. case fans, cables etc.) I wouldn't buy any serious hardware from Ebuyer like hard disks, graphics cards, power supplies etc.You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -

ahh no, posting when the sh*t hits the fan is half the fun!!!!
@getmeoutofhere - have to agree with your moneysaving tendancies!!!! I will probably be trying ebuyer again - unfortunately0 -
placed an order last monday, delivery date for Friday. Friday came and went - no delivery, and I went - oh no!!! All the postings on this board came floating in my head...
Sent an enote on Monday asking where the delivery was, got an unexpectedly quick response Tuesday morning - apologising, and the order was delivered yesterday. Both items work great, and so I think I'll end using them again. £4.99 for a Tripod ain't badNo reliance should be placed on the above.0
