I have only used them once and never again. ordered 3 items all birthday presents so paid for fast delivery option. checked the order and it was all dispatched but then got an email saying one item ( the main birthday present - typical!) wasn't actually picked in error and would bes ent separately. they refunded me that item and the others arrived ok. item stayed at picking for a week then got an email saying it was going to be dispatched and they charged me for the item and for postage again!!!! sent them an enote saying please refund postage, eventuallt got a reply saying actually item was out of stock after all and they were refunding me again. they were sorry for any annoyance caused and put a postage voucher into my account for future orders. erm... there won't be any,it's now a month since i placed the first order. i ordered it from someone else now.You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0

Trading standards are aware of the problems that are being caused by this company.

I ordered a SD card from these jokers 5th Aug. No show end of Aug. so sent them an "eNote"...was showing as dispatched. They replied :
"Dispatch date 05/08/2005 20:11
Consignment number DT98265937*GB [Recorded Delivery]
Status Dispatched
As Royal Mail do not offer a tracking facility you will need to call them on 0845 774 0740 should an ETA be required."
Why should i have to contact RM? They are responsible for checking if item has arrived! I phoned my CC provider and received a refund immediately. The guy from First Direct (CC) said they have had so many problems with this company!0 -
I have placed lots of orders with Ebuyer, and never had a problem.
So will continue to use them until my number is up0 -
Yeah that's right. Order from ebuyer if you want cheap. If they !!!! up and don't sort you out after reasonable requests, go to your CC company. End of story.
Shame that they're so cheap, that's what will pull in most people (including me)0 -

They charged the credit card on the 6.9 when it states on the site wouldn't be charged till dispatched.
Yes, by now I would expect to either receive your goods, or have some form of contact with them. Shame there isn't a proper telephone support desk

We had two DVD drives delivered last week on time without any problems.We have spend hundreds with them over the years, building PC's for the family. We've notice a big difference in service when we moved to Bristol as opposed Hereford which was out in the sticks. I can't believe they're still rubbish!
I last bought from them last winter and they were atrocious then. I'd bought a lot of stuff off them prior to that but never again.
I had a router off them and they kept on sending me a replacement instead of a refund. The whole thing took months to resolve with 7 day responses to their cr4ppy e-notes. Quite often I disagreed with their e-note replies and found it really annoying having to wait another 7 days each time for a simple answer.
I've only bought cheapo generic printer cartridges off them since and would never give them more then 20 quid of my money at a time. I'd gladly pay someone extra for peace of mind and good service.
I think the golden rule for me is never deal with a company that you can't ring up. Even Amazon has customer support phone numbers for when things really get bad.0 -
I ordered some cables and a hub and got an email saying they were being despatched and then another one saying when they had gone to pick it they had no cables. 2 days later hub arrived. While i was away get 2 notes through door saying city link had tried to deliver parcel, when you ring them you don't get a person you get an answer machine saying to leave a message but they won't ring back. i did get a call back to say that as they had tried to deliver twice i would have to come and collect it now (20 miles away) i asked them to contact ebuyer, then delivery arrived next door. I tried to call ebuyer (how naive i am) gave up and left an enote-recieved a response saying they would respond within 7 days WHAT SORT OF COMPANY BELEIVE 7 DAYS IS AN ACCEPTABLE RESPONSE TIME WHEN THEY WON'T ANSWER THE PHONE. Checking statement they have charged postage on both ( the postage for the cables on their own was more than the cables and hub together on original order) Aaaarrggh!0

I've bought over £1000 of stuff from them in the past, built a couple of PC's, upgrades etc. and was generally happy. However, in recent months it's gone right downhill.
A friend ordered a digital camera which their courier (Citylink - pretty rubbish really for where I live) delivered to the wrong person. Took a long time to sort out but luckily he'd paid by credit card.
More recently, I bought an SD card from them, they took the money on the day of the order but, a month later, and I still hadn't received the card! I tried phoning (never got through) and enotes, eventually left an enote asking them to cancel the order which they actually acted on.
From now on, I'll probably stick to dabs and aria when I want a bargain. Never touch those jokers again.
