Crumbs! My experiences of eBuyer are completely the opposite. I've been using eBuyer for simply ages - never a problem for me. It is a truism that we are all quick to register complaint and not applaud good service when we get it, so I am moved to speak for them....
I've returned plenty of stuff, they have always refunded or replaced the item without quibbling and have always refunded the return postage (there's a specific eNote thread to request this).
My "best value" return was an external 120 GB hard drive that failed after 9 months, the refund enabled me to buy a 250 GB from them as a replacement... and they refuned the £7.50 recorded postage to return the dead item.
I've never had a problem contacting eBuyer through the eNote system. Sometimes they're tardy but that's where they are keeping the costs down and I accept these occaisional delays as a fair swap for the competative prices.
Deliveries have always been bang on the nose, arriving on the agreed date everytime.

After several trouble-free orders, I have lost confidence in ebuyer with my last order.
Ordered DVD-R's on 08/09/05, with delivery promised by 15/09/05. Goods were allocated on 10/09/05, but I am still waiting for the order - and a eNote response.
I have sworn this is the last time I will use them - plenty of competition out there willing to supply me with blank DVD's.0 -
Well I would like to know why it takes advancedmpeplayer.co.uk an hour to (if not quicker) to respond to you. Whereas it takes Ebuyer a minimum of 3 days, at which point thier reply is usually worthless.
P.S. This is obviously my opinion and experience.Nuff Said...........

Oh my god I just had my first problems with them.
Ordered a PCB card from them opened the box and there is only a CD in there. They wont answer the phone!!!
While on hold I just checked the CD on ebay, its Microsoft Office - Small Buisness Edition 2003 with Buisness Contact Manager, with licence. It appears to be worth over £100. My order was a fraction of that!!!!!
Where do I stand if they find out their error, can they ask for it back (its going on ebay) I'm just going to order again, might get another CD, might get my PCB, I don't mind either way..0 -
Just cancelled the rest of my order after finding an equivalent product physically near, same price and in stock. What a bunch of clowns.0

No problems for me, i was really worried after reading this thread as i had ordered goods for a neighbour and had not had the money, but paid on my card, then she gave me the money and i knew that if she did not receive it, she would have to give her daughter nothing for her birthday.

I get so tired of people saying that it works fine for me etc. Can you not see that naturally you will be OK until you have had your first bad encounter with them!

I've used them a few times with not many problems, but they are useless at replying to enotes and doesn't look like they ever will be, so I've decided not to use them again. Pay the bit extra and find someone more local or with better service, like dabs or Novatech.You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0
