In which case, if you're desperate to 'upgrade' in a few years, you'll get a good price for it on ebay and be able to get the latest super duper one, that will probably clean up for you too!May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

How long does the MR one live???[/QUOTE]
Unless you can permanently "lend" or sell it to a family member/friend who is just about to embark on the BM lifestyleTell them they can then sell it on and recoup the cost when they upgrade to a better machine

Well, I just thought I should share with you all that the granary loaf I made this morning is absolutely scrummylicious and simply to die for MMMMmmmmm
I can't see this loaf lasting the day as I've already had too huge slices off it
Forget cooking today, it's jam and bread for dinner! :rotfl:"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Right, now my BM's ordered I need tips about which recipe books to get to supplement the one that will come with it (Pan 253) There are hundreds on Amazon. Also, which loaves would you recommend for a beginner or should I try a mix first? Thanks in advance.0

There's a wide range of recipes in the Panasonic book that should keep you busy for a while until you get used to it and find out which types of bread you like
The only one so far that I'd recommend not using the Pan recipe for is the Malt Loaf as the recipe posted here by Zziggi a couple of weeks back is much nicer
Edit: oh and if you're wanting a simple white loaf for making sandwiches then I recommend the actual "sandwich loaf" as it has a much denser texture and softer crust, pretty much like a sliced loaf you'd buy in the shop rather than a crusty farmhouse type, but then again you might want to make sarnies from a crusty farmhouse type"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

My MR one is only 5 months old but gets used every day.
Now I know that I can and will use a breadmaker, I am conditioning DH to the idea that when the MR one conks out I might replace it with a good deal on the panasonic.
How long does the MR one live???
Well, think of it this way, If you MR does one day conked out, the panasonic would proberly make one with a jam mode.
Btw, anyone seen the new breadmaker that looks like a Microwave made by I think Gary Rhodes? Bit big if you ask me.0 -
Mine should be dispatched tomorrow. I'll have it by the end of the week. If it's all in order, I'll post the amazon link. £78 including delivery not bad for the Panasonic 253.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0
