Got a response to my emails and an apology for the delay. I asked for my postage costs back and it's been credited to my account. I'm going to be breadmaker-less for another week but I DID get the 253 for 73 quid in the end so it's not so bad!May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

I agree, breadmakers are fabulous. I have tried all sorts of recipes which have made the breadmaker a bit of a hazzard (once had the bread ooozing out so far it nearly hit the ceiling!)
Pizza doughs are great, and a friend has made croissants and cinnamon buns - the trouble is, you do end up eating more bread than you normally would. Mine is only a cheapie Hinari, about £29 from Tescos in about 1931(or so it seems) but I wouldnt change it for the world - just the Panasonic.

Gingham Ribbons signature shows how she's losing weight for Christmas so I think that the weeks delay in getting the breadmaker is no bad thing......;)0

Just wanted to let everybody know that I used my breadmaker for the first time yesterday and am officially addicted to breadmaking. I feel like a bona fide old styler now!
I made cheese and onion bread in the Morphy Richards and it was absolutely gorgeous. What little was left over today has been toasted and is lovely.
Now I've just got to decide what I'm going to make next! :rudolf:0 -
Ooooh - a fruity loaf next. To die for - either eaten as hunks when freshly made or toasted with butter, for brekkie (dinner, tea, supper
) and a nice cuppa.
I'll make one tomorrow (already have a loaf in my BM as I type)0 -
Hi everybody,
My panasonic SD253 is due to arrive at my parents' house (where I'm going for Christmas) on Christmas Eve. Would someone mind posting a list of basic ingredients so that I can buy these and take these with me to do some bread baking over the holidays? I won't have access to the manual/recipes until Christmas day. Would appreciate your help, obsessive bread maker people...
:snow_grin
Thanks
Sparkly0
