My Breville -Anthony Worral Thompson breadmaker (last Christmas) started malfunctioning. I rang up with the displayed error message & serial number & was told to unplug it immediately & return it to a firm in Oldham.
4 days later new one arrived! Excellent service & a great machine.Nice to save.0 -
Sparkly reporting...
Well Santa bought me the Panasonic sd253 and thanks to this thread I had all the necessary ingredients to make a basic white loaf. Decided to make the extra large and a right monster loaf it turned out to be but was delicious. I asked my Dad, "Is this the best bread you've ever tasted?" . He said yes!

I have used a "Breadman" for years but It is finally getting tired.
I used to make a lot of cinnamon rolls with it and was quite satisfied with it, but now I need to get a new one.
I am intrigued with all of the reviews I see on the . It seems to be growing in popularity.
I read some good reviews at: morphyrichardsbreadmaker.net
How does the Morphy Richards Breadmaker stack up to the rest ?0 -
Hi Bunns (Nice name
)
There is a thread where the OSers discuss their favourite Bread makers
Which is the best home breadmaker ?
I had a Morphy Richards but gave it away when I started to make by hand. People do rave about the Panasonic on here as well
Hope that thread helps you
thanks

Hi. I created a poll recently and asked some of you which BM is best. Can I just take the opportunity to thank all who responded. :T
I have chosen, and ordered, the kenwood 450. The information supplied kind of underlined this one as the best one for me. It's on order and will be here b4 oct 1st:j:j:j
all I need now from you good people is recipes/tips etc. In fact any information you feel the need to impart to me about this. Even just to let me know how your own trials/recipes have panned out. The cost of HM loaves as opposed to bought would be good too.:)
I look forward to reading any replies
Thank you

Hi there:hello:
I asked some of you to give me advice on a breadmaker (poll) and thanks to your help and advice I have selected the kenwood 450.
I would be doubly delighted if you could give me hints/tips/recipes for this to get me started (it will be delivered by oct 1st):j:j
Any input from you at all will be warmly and gratefully received.:T
Thanks

Hi Skylelark
Hard to know what threads to look up for you so i found a range for you to browse. I only had my BM for a few months so am not Miss experience with them myself!
The best advice i could give you is to read the instruction manual and learn about your machine as each one has its own quirks. Eg - some are liquid first, some are liquid last.
I'm getting a breadmaker!!!!!!
Got the BM now need the ingredients
Breadmaking recipes hints tips and questions
Pizza dough in a breadmaker
What yeast and flour works for you in a BM?
Milk powder in the BM
Problems with my BM
Can i use oil instead of butter in a BM?
calling all BM pros
Good luck - let us know how you geton and i will merge this later on
thanks

Hello Skyelark...im hoping to get another Kenwood BM450 in October too(im still waiting on the price to drop)
What i do remember from when i had one(returned because the big sticker accross the front and side wouldnt come off...machine worked perfectly),anyway I remember the Kenwood coped realy well with cheaper supermarket brand bread flour....an earlier cheaper breadmaker i had only made good loaves when i used the more expensive Allinsons/Hovis flour etc.,so from that point of view i found it even more money saving..HTH.Slimming World..Wk1,..STS,..Wk2,..-2LB,..Wk3,..-3.5lb,..Wk4,..-2.5,..Wk5,..-1/2lb,Wk6,..STS,..Wk7,..-1lb.
Week 10,total weightloss is now 13.5lbs Week 11 STSweek 14(I think)..-2, total loss now 1 stone exactly
GOT TO TARGET..1/2lb under now weigh 10st 6.5(lost 1st 3.5lbs)0
