I know, it seems a bit low doesn't it. I've just checked and we pay £86 a month which is £258 a quarter. It only went up three months ago. We're with Scottish Power and live in a four bedroom semi. I use the washing machine at least once a day but hardly use the tumble dryer. Now you've got me thinking :rotfl: xx0 -
So that's what your DD is rather than usage? Ah my DD was £74 a month (3 bed house) but then left an outstanding balance when it came to the end of the quarter. I've just upped the DD to £100 a month
then trying to reduce what we use, hoping that covers it in future as I am currently jiggling money about to pay off the outstanding amount left (about £125 I think she said I am just trying to get the website to load as bills just come up online). Company I am with are still over £300 cheaper a year than other companies in our area for me.
One day I might be more organised...........

Pigpen - can you change before you pay the balance? If you can then i'd pay what you've got now and then let them wait till you've saved the rest. Your bill is massive - I know there's a lot of you but it still seems a lot. Mine is £270 a quarter for gas and electric. Is it defintely right?
Oh yes, and hello!!!!, i've not been insulted by you for a while xx
They wanted paying £75 to come and check the meters.. and I don't see why I should pay them to come and check their meters which I have to put up with in MY house!! .. plus I can't afford it.
You've not been here to insult.. skiving cow!! lol.
I am miffed now... I rang physio about DD4's referral... podiatry haven't any record of one being made and she was seen 2 months ago!!! And we will be waiting up to 6 months for her physio because one of the woman just handed in her notice..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Yip, that's my direct debit but it doesn't leave us with a deficit - it pays it all off. Maybe my children are better than I thought at turning off lights :rotfl: . I've no idea why it's so low though the house is very well insulated and we tend to put extra layers on rather than have the heating on a lot unless it's really cold.
Saying that, i've just checked my online account and they're putting it up to £101 so that's quite a hike  xx0 -
*runs in panicking*
Shell - good for you showing some common courtesy, andher for being so ignorant!
Aimee - big hugs to you and your Mum, not to mention the BF for being a rock. Why do families have to make unnecessary difficulties! Thinking of you all, and in case I forget before, GOOD LUCK for the interview.
Now - panicking because - I had a telephone call to say that my Hairdresser (who I nominated for "The Nation's Favourite Hairdresser Award", is through for the next round and could I send a photo of her and me, and could we go to the venue (Cwmbran's Superdrug) next Saturday, and the finals on 20th June (all expenses paid) in London? Hasty dash to hairdresser, who is in a state of shock, to take piccies, back to put on make up and do hair (working from home today - that'll teach me), then DS took piccies of me.Wow! If she wins, it's a Cosmopolitan Photoshoot, £1000 hair dressing fund for me, £2000 cash for her, new scissors for her, a year's supply of H & S shampoo each, and an awards party.
I suppose, I'd better come back down and go do some more work! Back later.DMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419

My gas is fine, £37 a month covered all but £1.99 of it so I am happy with that considering it's been a very cold spring. Electric was £220.22 for the quarter! So that minus the £37 a month paid, plus the £19 from the month before the DD started
£120 left to find. Which actually was only less than 12 weeks this time I think as I submitted readings early. Eeeek! We're using about £19 worth a week.
PF sounds great! Good luck!
Aimee I forgot to say good luck with the interview. One day I might be more organised...........
