I have accounts with all 3 - and use whichever is cheapest for a particular call! Can't say call quality had ever been an issue (no, tell a lie, 3 or 4 international calls with really bad echo in the past 3 years or so).Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

No Spam filters are not blocking this, also the message says " You should be able to use 18185 around 1 hour from subscibing" I have sent 2 e-mails asking
why they have not confirmed, but I have had no reply. It seem a shoddy outfit
that I would not recommend to anyone, having to put bank details into a form
and not to get a reply twice! I think I would avoid this provider as they are inccompadent or just totally ignorrant. beware:eek:0 -

Can anyone help me please? I have been using 1899 for some time. However, lately, there have been 0845 numbers and others on my BT bill. The 0845 numbers on my last bill are internet dial ups, one of them, a prepaid card, and way more than I am sure I dialled so I should not be paying for the calls. I rang BT and they said i shhould take it up with 1899. Has anyone else had these problems?0

Welcome to the MSE forums brenda50.
Unless you have the time to find the cheapest gateway provider to save money (see the MSE UK Callchecker), always use BT instead of 1899 for calling 0845 numbers:
Weekdays
BT------3p 'call set-up fee' + 3p/min
1899 ---5p 'startup fee'-----+ 3½p//min
Evenings
BT------3p 'call set-up fee' + 1p/min
1899 ---5p 'startup fee'-----+ 3½p/min
Weekends
BT------3p 'call set-up fee' + ½p/min
1899-- -5p 'startup fee' ----+ ½p/minTime has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market.
