Just recieved my .com order impressed with delivery (only ordered wednesday afternoon) but not with contents.I ordered a perfume as a gift for my friends birthday which they packed at the bottom of the box -a couple of other items which are heavier were put on top so now I have a squashed perfume with cellophane peeling off which I can't give as a gift.I will have to send the order back.

Silly b*gger :rotfl: but thanks for that sarah ;)
But the real reason for the post is: How on earth did you read that code!?

These are well worth ordering btw, because they're huge ;) (and very heavy!)

Think my hour's up, so can you PM about the code please? tia x

Scrap that message Sarah, I just noticed the code you'd posted.

But if anyone does have the Palmolive vouchers (and strong arms or a OH that doesn't mind going shopping in Boots ;)) they're better value instore at half price for 400ml. (I think online they're only 100ml? - nice tubes nevertheless :))

For what it's worth sonee2405, I'd ring CS first. :) They're usually very helpful. Had so many problems of the same nature that I've given up ordering anything but really robust items :D)

Temporary technical hitch, but I'm still reading, just not posting (although it doesn't look like it at times :D) x

I've just called and they weren't very helpful. The lady told me to take it back to a store and get a refund or swap or order same item again within 5 minutes of the phonecall to get a possible delivery tomorrow.I can't do that as my store doesn't stock the perfume I have recieved and that is what my friend requested(birthday on sunday).I can't even get to a post office today to send item back or go into town.I think I will return the whole order on tuesday and not shop on .com again.

I'd hang on for a while and ring again. There's countless posters that will tell you of their online order calamaties and what subsequently happened because of them ;) But I really can't see why you should be inconvenienced because of their poor packaging.

I'm sure there's other posters that will add to your post, (and relate what's happened to them) so I'd definitely hang fire for a while :)

    Hi Sonee,

Try contacting them via this form http://www.boots.com/help/OrderQueries_contact.jsp?pageName=/help/contact.jsp on their site. I've done this before and was awarded with points although I didn't get a reply for a few days. HTH

Hi Sonee, sam is correct about the points wtc when emailing if you decide to return the good etc.

However this does no solve the issue of your friends present for Sunday.

Id ring CS again as sometimes speaking to another person helps. Explain that your local does not stock it and ask what they would like to do, to assist you in getting it for tommorow.

Could they post it speacial delivery? Still possible at this time of day.
Could they arrange a stock transfer to your local store or get one delivered to that store for tommorow?
Could they post direct to your friend for Monday, without any price indication and with an extra something to help the fact her present is late?

Try again, it may make the difference and explain that you will just return the whole order if they can not help you out as you only really wanted your friends present anyway
