Thanx to all those who replied to my query last night - went to boots 2nite and got 5 TD handcreams for free so im VERY pleased with that. Now just need to work out some good points earning deals !!!!

Wow, which part of the country was that? I live in the North west and just never seem to find the hand cream any more. Not much of anything else neither.

I managed to get it in the early days, but not now. I still have a lot of till splits to get rid of. I always come home with more than I went out with.(Despite cashing them in)

I am always finding them on the floor, in the baskets,on shelves. Sorry but it goes against the grain to leave them there. I am a womble at heart, or am I just a penny pincher.:confused: I mean it's not as if I NEED any more hand cream, body polish, eye brighner, age spot pen, body lotion. yadda yadda yadda.

Ok so I love something for nothing. I should just tell myself that its ok to miss a till split as there will be another one along shortly. Bit like buses really. :p

Sealed shut! My butt is sealed shut. Sealed shut!

I penguin walk around the bathroom trying to figure out what to do and think to myself "Please don't let me get the urge to have a BM. My head may
    pop off!"

THE HAIR IS STILL THERE.......ALL OF IT!

So I recklessly shave it off. Heck, I'm numb by now. Nothing hurts. I could have amputated my own leg at this point.

Thank you for this it is so funny. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :T :T It reminds of why I have never waxed. Also I confess I have never shaved my legs:eek:

Shock horror for some maybe?? But as an older person from a different generation from many. Shaving was not the fashionable thing when I was young. Immac was the big thing, but it smelt terrible, so didn't do that again .

So I have never shaved, and do you know what? I have never needed to.

I dont know if that is because I have never shaved (and stimulated the hair or what) But I just dont have hairy legs. I know woman half my age who have really hairy legs and have always shaved.

So the question is do we have to shave continually because shaving has encouraged it or what. I don't know the answer, just pleased that its not a necessity in my life. Could be genetic in my case, as some of my ds's hardly ever have to shave (their faces) and no before you ask I dont shave my face neither:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

To keep this on topic, IF I did shave I would buy all my products in Boots.

I use moisturiser with spf 15, but think I might want to add a higher sun block on top of that. I don't use foundation though and want whatever I use to be color-free. Clinique City Block gets high reviews, but you say it looks like a foundation? Also, there is a 25 spf that is oil-free (good), but the 50spf doesn't say it is. What do you recommend?

I've also looked at the No7 Anti-aging face stuff, and it doesn't look bad, but I can't find reviews.

Also, does anyone know when/what the next Clinique gift is? I want to pay for this suncare stuff with points, which means I won't be able to use coupons, but I will still get the free gift. On the No7, I know I can get 342 now or wait and get the gift.

Hi, today in selfridges, the clinique lady told me the summer gift (towel, they ran out of sun hats) was only for buying 2 items (!! no mention in the posters in store...). I asked when the new bonus time would be and she said it would be in selfridges on the 14 June, but it was going to be a multiple store thing because it was their anniversary (?). Now I am not sure if she was talking about clinique or selfridges, I understood clinique because she added "don't forget to come here instead of elsewhere because we are much nicer *wink*" - at which point I was thinking "Boots". In the clinique website the events list stops on the 14-June, so let's wait and see.

As for the city block, I am glad people here are finding my suggestion useful. I use the spf 40, but there is at least 25 as well. I really love the thing: oil free and with antioxidants. And relatively cheap for that type of thing £13.50 and it's 1 item towards the GWP!!

    Take care.

Thanks for this pcg2001. I notice that skibster talks about getting hers with points, but can you get the clinique with points and get the GWP?

I know that CPG's first post says we can get the gwp with points, but I have only ever tried once, and was refused, but not by the SA, she put it though, it was the till that refused it. It was the Roc gwp and I was buying the items also.

In the past I have always paid (a little & vouchers etc) But I now have so many points that I really want to use some of them on nice stuff for me, and hopefully get the gwp.

I noticed someone else was recently refused the Roc gwp with points. So possibly it depends on what you are buying. What are the experiences of op on getting the GWP with points. I am wondering if it is yet another of Boots anomalies that only they understand.

Perhaps we can compile a proven list of what gwp we can and cannot get with points

Answers on a postcard please ;);)

Not been on for ages but I thought I'd come on and say that Lincoln Boots (the main one) was reducing loads of Hacket stuff today, body sprays and hair and body wash etc all £1.50.

I had a really good shop there.

Video tapes 180 mins 5 in a pack, £1.92 instead of nearly £8, also on BOGOF, so I bought 6 packs. (only worked out at just over 19p per tape)
2 x photo albums, one was 88p and the other (black with red heart) 1.25 on BOGOF, so 2 for 1.25
2 x cd cleaners £1.25 each but BOGOF
    1 x Amazon forest hand wash £3
    1 x med soap

Gave in 75 point wys £10 (ACM)
200 points when you buy photo albums
free med soap wyb med or Amazon item

Paid £11.26 got 319 points and a £5 till spit
