I have AS too, but have been mainly symptom free for a while now. You poor thing Broclo i know how bad it can be. When i was preggers with DD1 i fell twice and was in so much pain i couldn't breathe properly cos my back hurt sooooo much. I had physio for my back. Had surgery on my foot too as they thought it was a nerve tumour but turns out it was AS, my toe looked like a fat pink sausage and i couldn't put it on the floor. Have had a steroid injection too in my knee.
I cried when i was diagnosed as i was so relieved to know it was something. It's quite a funny test they do and you are HLA B27 positive if you have it. My dad and uncle have it and 1 in 6 chance the children will get it but even if they are positive they won't necessarily have symptoms.
Erm i know thats not Boots related....... technically but i went today and got nothing, no clearance no cheap td:kisses2:Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That’s why we call it the present.audaces fortuna iuvat fortune favours the bold0 -
Today i bought a A4 magnetic photo frame for the fridge which was reduced to 38p tried the 100pts wyb photo frames ACM coupon but it didnt work.
The 250pts wyb photo frames/albums from the Parenting mailing worked on it though so got 250pts for a 38p spend0 -
The Gyle had a lot getting reduced today, TED BAKER gift sets with 3 items in - reduced to £4.50 and BOGOF, also makeup bags at £2.50 BOGOF, lots of Santuary, Elle and S&G body butter half price. Baby photo albums £1.25 BOGOF.
Had a chance to use a 75p off coupons for cashmere shower gel, I had loads of them sent by Boots.com a while ago - it was half price to £1.29 so paid 54p per bottle, should be in all stores.0 -

So i got some facial wash for men and took it to the till to be told that you can't use the till spit for this, what can i do about it, as there is nothing else i can get.
i was refused this deal this morning but stood my ground and complained that the sign said all time delay products were eligible and they gave in eventually.0 -

Yeah it is lovely when diagnosed with anything (had HLAB27+) as it means you can get the right treatment. Glad your not suffering from it right now! I know what you mean about the 'not breathing' one morning it was so bad that I would have had childbirth again instead(and I had 29.5 hrs, no pain relief, back ache labour, died twice(lol) and DS was born dead(lazy thing then came round lol). Knowing my luck when it goes into remission, my Crohn's will play up lol. Ah well there are alot worse in life.
I'm just happy that it is under control at the moment so I can go Bootsing...well atleast when a glitch, if it does(!) comes along!
Hopefully on Thermacare Heat Patches! I'd FILL the house. Hmmm...have to fill the kitchen and throw out the food as I've run out of space :rotfl:0 -
Broclo, I'm sitting here with a bad back, you've just reminded me about the heatpack that I got free with painkillers a few months ago from Boots. I'm off to try it
Thanks for the reminder
Kitariakat, I'm with Pollsdolls on this one, the best pain relief should be prescribed by your mums GP. If simple painkillers aren't helping then she needs to see the doc for stronger ones and also to get to the bottom of the problem. TENS may help and she should be able get a TENS machine on loan from the surgery if her doctor advises it.0 -
Hey all,
Thought i would all let you know what a fab deal my OH got today!!! He joined the health club some time ago and received the 50% off voucher for smart card for weigh ins when he went to get one from the till the woman said i think there has been problems with this!!! She tried it anyway and his AC card was rewarded with 400 points but no card he was well chuffed tho and when i thought about it he got £3.50 worth of points for a 50p spend but then worked out at £3 because he bought the card for a pound with his points!!! He was still pretty chuffed, if you have one try it!!!
On another note are the wipes ppl are talking about the l'oreal ones?? I found the shelves pretty empty too with 6 vouchers to use!!!:heartsmil Engaged 31st May 2008 :heartsmil

Besides the BOGOF, they were giving a free sample of Hay max. Which is a little tub of balm that you put around your nostrils to stop the pollen getting in. I checked out the price of this instore and it costs £6.95 a tub!! They are calling it a trial size, but it is the same size as the one they are selling for £6.95
The good news is you can get one for every packet of hayfever tabs that you buy. I bought 2 (BOGOF) and got 2 freebies. So I went back and got 4 packets & 4 more freebies.
Anyway, there was no problems, 2 different SA did the transactions and it was not queried, one was at the pharmacy too.
But it gets better.:T :T Inside each packet is a voucher for a free packet of Kleenex balsam pocket pack of tissues worth 49p. voucher expires soon though on 31st May.
It gets even better too:T :T It's also available online even with the cheaper products and will give one freebie with each purchase.
If anyone in your family has any kind of allery these are well worth stocking up on. The hay max is really dinky and will fit in your bag easily. Keep one in the car too. Hope this is of use to someone. Stop those sneezes!!! There is no excuse.;)
I bought 2x Benadryl (acrivistine ones) tabs today thinking they were BOGOF plus I had a £1 off WYS £4 on healthcare voucher. I thought that the Benadryl tabs were £3.98 so I added a cheap pack of Paracetemol to use the healthcare £1 off voucher. I had noticed the Hay Max offer adverised last week but didn't see it advertised today and Pharmacy SA didn't mention it! Anyhow the Benadryl tabs went through like this:
Benadryl Tabs £3.51
Benadryl Tabs £3.51
MULTISAVE
saving £1.96 now £5.06
I expected it to be £3.98 (hayfever tabs on BOGOF) plus 30 odd pence for the Paracetemol then the £1 healthcare off making it £3.28ish! Don't know what's gone wrong?! and no Hay Max, maybe I've got this wrong somewhere

Not sure if this is any good to anyone. Today I took advantage of the colgate 3 for 2 and used the HC coupon for save £1 when you but two colgate items.
I got 3 Colgate Totals @ £1.65
Total: £4.95
Then the 3 for 2 kicked in making it: £3.30
Then the £1 off making the total: £2.30
So 3 full size colgate toothpastes for 76p each.
Not the best bargain but good enough for me. :j'Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.'
Proud Mummy to two gorgeous miracles.:j0 -
A's Mum and NettieNoo: I snapped up some of those photo corners today! Have ended up with 6 packs! I got one ACM photo voucher on Saturday and somehow got another 2 today, weird! So spent £1.50 (50p each and BOGOF) and got 600 points
Thank you
:D:D
No TD wipes left in Bromborough today and managed to grab the last hand cream from the tills (in a little display basket) by asking a very nice SA if there were any left (I had clocked these but didn't want to sound too cheeky).
