  • Inspired by you all... I've had a go!

I wanted some hand cream, went into Boots and found the TD shelf - none left. But there was a little sign saying that you can 'buy this with the tillspit'. The Olay handcream was a similar price so I thought I'd give it a try.
The kiosk gave me a coupon - 50 points on a £7.50 spend. And also a free med bath cream but they had none in stock.

The tillspit for the Olay didn't scan at first, but the operations manager was standing next to this very pretty SA and even prettier trainee SA, 'chatting', and when she looked helplessly at him he said it ought to go through and so she did it!

    So I got:
    Olay hand cream £1.97
Hay fever catarrh tabs (that I also wanted) for £1.99
A bar of chocolate for 69p.

Total 7.65, then 50 points coupon, then £5 till spit. Paid 2.65, total points 28 + 50 = 78. Also another till spit, not that I'll use it.

How did I do? Any tips for improving for next time??!!!

Thanks for the inspiration. Free handcream :j

Not sure if this is any good to anyone. Today I took advantage of the colgate 3 for 2 and used the HC coupon for save £1 when you but two colgate items.

    I got 3 Colgate Totals @ £1.65

    Total: £4.95

Then the 3 for 2 kicked in making it: £3.30
Then the £1 off making the total: £2.30

So 3 full size colgate toothpastes for 76p each.

Not the best bargain but good enough for me. :j
Oooo Thanks for this :T .

Got a few of these coupons to use and was wondering if they'd work on toothpaste (that must be the only toiletry I'm not stocked up on at the moment).OOPS, just re-read that post and realised you were talking about the Colgate coupon and I got confused with the £1 off WYS £4 on healthcare. Think it's time to go to bed my brain has stopped working!

Hmmm, more Bootsing tomorrow as I've still got 3 till spits to use! Hope Bromborough has re-stocked if not may have to venture over to Cheshire Oaks.

A's Mum or NettieNoo: Any idea if the tiny Brom Boots stocks the TD wipes or hand cream? Thanks :)

However when you add the Benadryl tabs in multiples of 2 they seem to through at 2 for £6 (instead of £8.70) plus you can get 200 points on a £10 healthcare spend. Hope this helps someone.

    12 Caps £4.35
4 x HayMax Organic Pollen Barrier - 1ml Trail Balm
1 ml FREE 4 Free gift with selected Hayfever Relief products OFFER

Broclo, I'm sitting here with a bad back, you've just reminded me about the heatpack that I got free with painkillers a few months ago from Boots. I'm off to try it :D Thanks for the reminder
Amazing things, I loved that Boots offer, but then ran out quick in my local!

Boots used to sell these, do not think they do now... http://www.amazon.co.uk/150-Watt-Infrared-Heat-Lamp/dp/B000VOFF9G amazing things!

 Just looked up the heat wraps on .com. How much? £5.99 for 2....

I'm making do with a hot water bottle for tonight and I'll try the heat wrap tomorrow when I'm up and about. I wish I'd stocked up now, this was free with a pack of paracetamol I think. I hope they do the offer again :D

You beat me to it Sam I was just going to do that, to check out you prices. . I don't know what happened with your transaction in store.

At the weekend there were boxes of the haymax everywhere. If they were not showing instore maybe they have run out, or were' in the back.' They should have loads, as they hay fever season is in it's early days yet.

As far as I know they were free with all allergy tablets. I would ask next time you are in there. That is a good offer online too.

Yes daft when you can get one of these http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?jspStoreDir=argos&catalogId=1500001001&params=adref%3DPersonal+care+and+bathroom-%3EMassage+and+relaxation&productId=1500156581&referredURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2Fwebapp%2Fwcs%2Fstores%2Fservlet%2FProductDisplay%3FstoreId%3D10001%26catalogId%3D1500001001%26productId%3D1500156581%26langId%3D-1&cmpid=FG13P&keyword=Dreamland+Therapeutic+Heat+Pad&langId=-1&engine=froogle&referrer=FG13P&storeId=10001 although obviously no good if you intend to walk about!

    Hi Pollsdolls,

I bought 2x Benadryl (acrivistine ones) tabs today thinking they were BOGOF plus I had a £1 off WYS £4 on healthcare voucher. I thought that the Benadryl tabs were £3.98 so I added a cheap pack of Paracetemol to use the healthcare £1 off voucher. I had noticed the Hay Max offer adverised last week but didn't see it advertised today and Pharmacy SA didn't mention it! Anyhow the Benadryl tabs went through like this:

    Benadryl Tabs £3.51
    Benadryl Tabs £3.51
    MULTISAVE
    saving £1.96 now £5.06

I expected it to be £3.98 (hayfever tabs on BOGOF) plus 30 odd pence for the Paracetemol then the £1 healthcare off making it £3.28ish! Don't know what's gone wrong?! and no Hay Max :(, maybe I've got this wrong somewhere
not sure about your BOGOF but I think your pound voucher has been applied to all 3 items. 47p each tablet pack & 6p off paracetamol. I got cod liver oil on 3 for 2 and used the £1.00 voucher and it showed up on receipt as less amount charged .However the differences added up to the £1.00.
