  • My shops today:

    Shop 1

    Expert whitening toothpaste tube x 3 *

    Total to pay: £3.96

*Because, the till deducts 1/3 of the original price of £3.99 so each becomes £2.65. It then does 3 for 2 to leave (somehow) £3.96. So each tube becomes £1.32.

    Shop 2

    Lunch meal deal
    Boots expert baby wipes £1.19*
    Vaseline

    Total: £5.xx
Earned: till spit + 116 points
Using: 1/2 price baby expert PC voucher, 100pts WYB baby expert ACM voucher

*The PC voucher didn't scan so the supervisor deducted half the price so the wipes cost £1.19 with 100pts back :D

    HTH :D

In today's Metro (London edition) there was an advert stating you can receive 3 free samples to try "all without charging you a penny" (according to the advert text)

Went to try it out in Liverpool st station Boots and I was just asked which area I would like to concentrate on and if I used any Clarins products at the moment.

End result: 4 free samples :D

Do you need to take the advert with you, or can you just ask? I'm on holiday from work for two days....;)

freebird65, hogshead and mrsproudmum, I hope you all have a better day tomorrow *big hugs*

Mrsproudmum, it might be worth a phonecall to CS about the HC discount that you would have got if you hadn't needed to cancel your card, they might be able to do something about it if you still have your receipt and explain the situation eg: put some points on your card to make up the amount you had to pay extra. They should be able to bring up the transaction on their computers if you give them the receipt number.

I know that receipts can be validated to allow you to still collect point offers while you are waiting for a new AC, but I'm not sure what happens about HC discounts etc, maybe someone here will know.

I did have the ad with me but she didn't ask to see it.
The advert itself doesn't state you have to take it with you to receive your samples.
