I thought I was going to have a mad spree in Boots with all my vouchers, but it's not to be and I'm here for sympathy!

The fabby Boots vouchers I swapped with someone haven't turned up, my car has been smashed up - hit from behind at the weekend -and then last night some yobbos ripped the wing mirrors off.....have just spent the last 3 hours at the police station filling out forms and now feel completely miserable.

Can't even go to Boots as no car so all the till spits, etc will have to go in the bin - breaks my heart nearly as much as the car!

    Sorry for the whinge....:o

Aww! What an awful few days! Hey, it can only get better :o (Well I hope so!).. Also, I hope it all gets sorted soon.

    Big hugs! :grouphug: xxxx

Hi Freebird, I am so sorry to hear that. Mindless vandalism makes me so mad. It seems to spreading like a cancer in this country. The problem is they always seem to get away with it, as they are usually under age. And I won't get started on police attitude to yob culture.

I hope no-one was injured in the collision at the weekend. Sometimes it all gets too much. Try to switch off, in the way that you normally relax. Boots is out, so I hope you can unwind somehow. Sounding off on here helps, as you are always sure of a sympathetic ear. Take care. x:smileyhea

Freebird I know it doesn't help re the prang, yobs etc but why not email Boots 'claiming' there were absolutely no items which can be used against the spits therefore proving them invalid...spin it a bit.
I know Broclo did something 'genuinely' last time & had I thought of it ( I did but never acted ) I'd have done the same as I was left with 9 of the little blighters!!!

OK my morning of housework went like this:
I'll mow the lawn. Mower failed to work last week so after a rest might be OK today. Pulled the cord but nothing. Smelt the 'petrol' in the can which I filled it with last week only to realise the children must have found it & filled with wateer so silly me had filled a petrol mower with water!!!
I cut some pipe off the VAX ( redundant in the shed ) & then had to siphon out the petrol/water mix...YUCK YUCK & YUCK.
Nipped out for new 100% petrol & lawn is looking lush.

No housework done so crafting instead....karma

Round of applause for the staff at Edinburgh Fort Kinnaird...I was in this morning for my mum's list....no TD or anything cheap, so I was pretty well resigned to not using my last two. Then at the till the manageress was serving and as she handed me yet another till spit she remarked that there was only one day left to use them and did I know they were valid on the TD hand cream? Errr, yes, but none on shelves I replied. "Oh, we've got lots" sez she and chased up one of the juniors to get a couple of vast trays of TD hand cream out the stockroom. So I got another three (well, it would have been rude to refuse, lol) and there's about 200 tubes left, if anyone is interested and still has spits.

    Hello
Freebird i it is so sad about your car so sorry you had an awful time...makes mine look silly now but if anyone wants to pull up a chair and a coffee and choclate bar and have a laugh feel free...........

This morning on my instructions per you lot i toddle off to boots with my £5 vocuher half asleep because i have been reading MSE half the night:rolleyes:

heads straight for the ATM get all the vocuhers i can:D

Head for the book stands no magazines anywhere .......hmmm i thinks ah well

Headed to get my nivea suntan creamfor face BOGOF £5 off with voucher

then heads for the cream isle to find any freebies instead none left for under £5 so i head round the store looking for bargains, got my SIL bday present tart art make up bag £3.50 was about £9.99 i think because i had one myself...got my sons pullups as i have my health card slip to give in making them half price....

so i have basket, handbag, till split, vouchers, best get my boots card back out now had'nt i ready to pay .....................................................................

fudge fudge fudge where is it???????Not in my purse

runs like headless chicken back to the ATM .......no card sticking out of machine.at this point imagine grown woman falling to knees nealry passing out and close to tears, as there is £50 of points on my card

runs like another headless chicken to nice lady at till and she comes to investigate ATM.....me still nearly sobbing

I then start to flap lots and ask them to ring and cancel my card before someone uses my points, at first they rang and aksed whether the machine sucked the card in and were told to unlock it and check:eek: me flapping kept repeating but is it cancelled yet...

poor girl opens machine no cards can be sucked in new machines:eek:

me please please ring and cancel it for me ...so she does...meanwhile because i am double barrellled name it took half an hour to find me on the register and i am stood outside phoen room on my mobile to my bank because all my cards are covered for loss/theft and can be stopped that way....so i am cancelling too and so is nice girl:rotfl:

Anyway after an hour and half it turns out that my points were still on the card and it has been cancellled and it had been returned to any tills so .............

to the person who stole my boots card i hope karma comes to find you and all you teeth fall out tomorrow when you wake up :T :T :T

I came staright home for a cup of tea

oh and back to my pathetic purchases...........i got to the till and £5 cannot come off nivea sun cream so did not buy that, my son pull ups and make uip bag went through and then she told me she could not activate my health card because i had no boots card  so had to wait.........i meanwhile forgot to cancel the pull ups because now i had paid full price and not half

went back to cream isle and stood for what seemd an eternity and a woman next to me gave up and shoved her till split in my hand so now i had 3

i ended up with 2 time delay day mositurisers should have been £9 i paid £4 each and iline filling collegen stick thing should have been £7 odd so i paid £2

kinda defeated my no spend attitude but hey i got £25 worth for £10:T

how will i cope without my boots card for weeks

Hope everyone here had a better day
