Wow Kaat - they look absolutely delicious ! Well done you ! :T Let us know what they taste like !!!!
Just been and picked some rhubarb (probably the last for this year) and some dwarf beans (our first pickings of these) all for tea tonight.
Did some pickled gherkins earlier today (first time so bit of an experiment to see what they come out like - did follow a recipe so hope all will be well when it comes to eating them!)
Quick question about the gherkins too if anyone knows, they are fruiting really well but the leaves have gone terribly yellow and brown and they look like they are dying off but the gherkins themselves are swelling really well. Is this just the natural process of the plant? I think i've probably got another week or two left in them plants themselves and I'm sure that all the gherkins will be ready by then. Just not sure if i've done anything wrong !
How's everyone else? Where are you Mrs McCawber???!!!! I miss your photos !!!:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -

Hi All (especially Kaat Lady!)
I've written my piece on home-made self-watering containers, and pulled together some illustrations, so it's all ready to "publish", but...
it might be a bit long for here.
Not sure of the rules on length of posts, so I thought I'd better check first before I had a Mod on my back. In Word, it's two and a bit pages, (not as bad as it sounds, honest!:A ) plus I've uploaded some illustrations into Photobucket, so they would only show as links.
Can someone kindly tell me if it's OK to go ahead, or if not, if anyone who's interested could let me know, I could email them with the material instead. Don't want to bore loads of people if it's only one or two who want to know.
I'd hate to think of those lovely tanks going to waste, Kaat!0 -

It all looks great Tom, well done!! :T
Is the path made from broken paving slabs? If so, where did you get such a large quantity, or did you break them up yourself? I could do with a pathway like that myself“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
