Today's update from Microsoft for XP included the new Service Pack 3.

Just downloaded it and installed. It took me about 1 hour but my internet connection is slow, at the most 500 kbps. On restart I got an error message saying wrong parameter in a windows 32 file but up to now it is working ok as far as I can see.
Regards
erb :)

I've put mine on hold, at least for a couple of days, because I have some important stuff to sort and daren't take any risks.

I have had it running with SP3 for a week now and no issues at all, so far :)

I'm also sure it will be O.K.

But I'm trying to sort some things in the evenings and for the sake of a couple of days I can't afford to have a problem with PC.
I'm out the door at 6.15am -home 6.50pm, so time is at a premium for a while.

I put it on my pc at work as soon as it was released to technet subscriber, used it since then and not found any problems.

If you want to download the full package, to roll out to other PCs/laptops, then the full installer is at: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=5B33B5A8-5E76-401F-BE08-1E1555D4F3D4&displaylang=en

Slowed down my machine and then broke it. (Wouldn't boot up past loading screen). Going to have to try installing again and see if it makes any difference.

Anyone know exactly what's new in SP3? Except the usual security fixes etc. Anything useful/interesting?
