ring them up and tell them of your findings. If they wont budge then simply return the phone. i believe you can return it within 14 days

Hi weddedbliss...thanks for that. I recieved my phone today and have just asked vodaphone the same question (hadnt read your post) and was told i cant transfer my number as its an internet order!!!!!! sounds like a crazy excuse to me. 2 different responses to that then..maybe worth enquiring more... i'll let you know if i get any joy!

Ordered my phone last Thursday, and have received it today. It is sitting on my desk being charged as I type. The pack had some information inside, but no details on claiming back the points in 7 months time. Will I receive another letter, or is it a call to their customer services, anyone know?

Also meant to add, that the phone arrived not sim locked, they must have been in a hurry to obtain stock. Great result for a years time when I may want to go to another supplier!

Be careful OP ... i spoke to vodaphone today and the £16 a month offpeak 1000 mins and 25o texts does NOT apply to any network as the OP has been quoted. Vodaphone told me that their OFF PEAK only ever applies to Vodaphone and landlines .. is this true ? Never been with vodaphone before.

yup its true, been with vodafone for a few years now on an off peak tarriff....free calls after 7 to landlines and other vodafones only.....and beware that the free weekend calls do not aply to bank holidays asthey did at one time...so dont go calling all your relatives christmas morning..it'll cost a fortune

Contrary to what i was told two days ago, I have now just been informed that you cannot transfer an Orange number to O2, just to T-Mobile and 3.

It seems as though most of the CS people don't seem to know much about their products!

Has anyone successfully taken an existing Orange number over to another network?

Just wanted to say thanks to the original poster. I ordered mine monday and it arrived yesterday ! I got the Motorola V220. Despite some mixed reviews on the phone its actually a really nice phone.

Will be ordering the same phone for the wife to get a load more points.

i got a motorola e550 on t mobile, and i was allowed to take my number accros, i just called t mobile when the phone arrived and gave them my pac code. no problem now have my old number :j

as for the points you email them on the receipt on the 7th invoice, and they will let you know how to claim the points
