I was just looking at the website, and I think you only get 36,000 points if you sign up for the more expensive tariffs c. £40 - 50 a month.

I think for the tariff listed above the points range is between 9,000 and 17,000 depending on whether you go for a 12 or 18 month contract - or am I missing something?

Definately get the 36000 points on the deal I mentioned. I don't spend a huge amount at boots normally, but with a new born baby I can see £120 of free nappies coming my way (And I'll wait until they are on 2 x £16 and get a load in one go)

    What to do with your points;

Could always buy a digital camera, or other electrical goods, or expensive perfume etc and sell on Ebay.

    Or Christmas presents for 2006.

I'm going for this offer & then I'll get all my xmas pressies on the 3 for 2 gift sets from boots for xmas 2006.

Thing is, I'm gonna have to makes sure I dont buy anyone smellies this year 'cos thats what they're going to get next year
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

i'd love to know this was confirmed as true...is there a number you could give me to call so i can double-check? not that i don't trust you - is just that boyf is on 02 so is only really worth my while if i can phone him...otherwise i can see myself getting bills which are more than £16!!
most annoying thing is he only remewed contract on 02 the other day and i could've got the points. grrrr.

    thanks :)

I must admit when I made the original post I was sceptical.

Anyway my Motorola V220 came yesturday - very nice phone.rang to check the conditions and got a bonus because on the site it says 250texts a month and 1000 minutes a month on landline or to other vodaphone uses. Anyway talking to the customer services lady today and she told me the 1000 off peak minutes (6pm to 6am ) was across all networks. WOW

ideal for my daughter whose text mad but extra bonus it being across any network.

I couldnt get any promotional codes to work

How about Sony Ericcson T290i on O2 Leisure Time Plus on 12 month contract @£20/month = £240 with 36,000 points back?

Just taken up this offer. Best idea i've had in ages!

Don't need the phone at all, but would have spent the money in boots anyway, so this £120 profit is a nice little earner with free minutes and texts thrown in!!

    Bargain :j

daft question i'm sure - does anyone know what times off peak covers on o2 and vodafone. i'm going to go for the deal at boots but not sure which network etc...
    cheers
  • ive ordered the samsung and got an e-mail saying that its on back order due to manufacturers delay and should be with me within 7 days ... lets hope so ;)
  • Brilliant deal.

Does anyone have any tips for selling mobiles on eBay? I don't know whether my new phone will be locked to O2, and if so whether it's worth paying to unlock it.
  • I like the sound of the deal but im wondering can u buy one for the missus and one for myself as we both have mobiles in desperate need of upgrading ????
