Does anyone know if itemised billing is compulsary under these offers and if so, how much it costs?0
-
The Terms & Conditions on the Boots site, mention that you apply for the remaining points after you receive your 7th bill, within 1 month.
Just make sure you apply within this short time!!!0 -
Sounds great weaver but I can't help wondering if the lady might have been confusing it with a different tarriff?? If I were you I'd check it out before racking up lots of x-network...found the following on the Vodafone site which looks like it's the same tarriff:
Evening and Weekend 1000
Evening and Weekend 1000 + 250 texts + 3 months 1/2 price line rental + 18 months
Duration 18 months
Inclusive Minutes 1000 off-peak minutes (To Vodafone mobiles and landlines only)
Monthly Line Rental £16.00
Voice Calls Fixed lines, other Vodafone mobiles, dial-up WAP, Voicemail (per minute)
So unless it's not the same tarriff or they've changed it you might be stung with a nasty surprise when your first bill arrives. Just a friendly warning!
Other piece of advice for others - check the reviews on http://www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk. Some of them may be a little old but you get a lot of opinions for almost all of the phones available in Boots. Even after all the advice on this thread & the review site I still can't decide between the Nokia 7260 on Vodafone, Sagem MYX5-2 on T-Mobile or perhaps most tempting the Sony Ericsson T290i on O2 (good spot that one fmcdowell although the phone gets a bit of a slagging off by some users!) Actually I think I'll go for that last one...wish me luck!weaver wrote:I must admit when I made the original post I was sceptical.
Anyway my Motorola V220 came yesturday - very nice phone.rang to check the conditions and got a bonus because on the site it says 250texts a month and 1000 minutes a month on landline or to other vodaphone uses. Anyway talking to the customer services lady today and she told me the 1000 off peak minutes (6pm to 6am ) was across all networks. WOW
ideal for my daughter whose text mad but extra bonus it being across any network.
I couldnt get any promotional codes to work0 -

Always remeber to check the prices of the handset you want elsewhere (maybe on PAYG tariffs) as you can allways sell the handset you get with the deal on Ebay. I am going for the T-Mobile 12 month 100 min deal as it's the best tariff for me. I will use my Nokia 6170 and sell the Sagem phone (should get about £40-£45 on Ebay).0 -

I don't think you will be able to as points can only currently be used in store and as far as I know they don't sell diswashers etc in store.0 -
Hi
Just found this:
Spending Points
We're sorry but points cannot be spent in Boots Opticians or on https://www.boots.com. In store points can¿t be spent on prescription items, stamps, gift vouchers/cards and infant milks (up to 6 months). Please look for the * on the price ticket as this tells you that you can pay with points.
You cannot make a part payment of points towards a product or service. You must collect the full amount of points needed for the product you choose. These will be deducted from the total on your card.
You won't qualify for points or extra point offers on products or services, which you pay for with points.
We can substitute or remove products and services in store and other third party products and services available for points collection and redemption.
The thing is, its a great offer and getting money for nothing really but what do i spend £360 on in Boots?? I will call them tomorow and see what i can find out. I know you can buy cots/prams etc from the baby catalogue..would this not be the same as an elctrical product?

No point in going for this unless you actually want a contract phone where you are paying a monthly charge for at least a year. Great deal if someone is planning on getting a phone anyway but I wouldn't get suckered into gaining a lot of points if you don't normally shop in Boots anyway as Boots tend to be over priced.
Now where is that pink one?0
