    Evening all :j

Well...i was in mid panicabout spending not a brass razzoo for the week..so went scuttling down into the basement... and had a look in the "overflow fridge" -its actually hubbies beer fridge but i am prone to pinching some space when the kitchen fridge is full (i will only eat fruit from the fridge so i take loads of space:p )and i have 2 x 2 kilo of oranges and 8 more yogurts in there ..that i had forgotten about :T and on the shelving -hiding behind the weetabix i have a big tin of.. peaches, 1 of apricots, 1 of pears and 1 of pineapple :j so if that fruit can't last me the week then i should be ashamed :o ... so now i have NO excuse at all for buying anything this week yippppeeeeee :rotfl: Have double checked that i have everythin..loo rolls, fairy liquid, toiletries etc and all is present and correct :D
The double bonus is that -if i have no excuse to go out shopping i can spend that time seeing to my veggies instead :T they are coming along brilliantly

Well, I'm going to have to re-jig my menu plan for this week, I went to the rack to get potatoes out to have boulangere pots with the roast. There was what I needed plus three rather small ones. I shoved those all in the pan as well, so will probably do one day more. I can't remember what else is planned, I do have some Bubble and Squeak in the freezer, so we can have potatoes if I'm careful about what we have it with.

Best do that now, otherwise I'll come in tomorrow night and not know what I'm supposed to be doing!

If ts any colsolation I've already had two disasters! Went to make my bacon mushroom & quinoi mix and the mushrooms were rank & the quinoi I think needs soaeking as still soid so chopped up a potato and did it with veg & bacon instead! Interesting mix!! Am off to bed in a mo but just wated to say good luck tomorrow!! Feeling a tad stressed if I'm honest but thats good in that I'm facing it rather than just shopping to make myself feel better! Hugs for you all tomorrow - will be thinking of you all & look forward to catching up! TV mag will have to go wont it eh!!

  • I am going to give this a go, except that I will have to buy toilet rolls in the morning, but after that I am going to try and get to next Saturday without spending any money at all! I have loads of food in and provisions to do baking if necessary.

    Morning all

Well hubby has just tootled of for his golf competition armed with a flask of coffee and the last 10 date n pineapple bars for the journey.. the rest of the bars will go in his golf bag for munching when he gets hungry on his way round-they are really filling and packed with energy -without loads of extra sugar/fat added.... plus its rare for hubby to eat fruit so at least he is getting a bit extra that way ;)
So now i just have to fend for myself for the next couple of days :D ....lots of fruit, yogurts and SF jelly for my meals i think :p ...i could live on that stuff..
so today is my 4th NSD in a row... but i WILL get through this week without shopping -fingers crossed ;)
Just been out to check the veggie pots and things are coming along swimmingly..that little lot are going to save us a fortune :T not just because we won't have to buy much veg -but because it will mean i won't have to shop as often..so less chance of slipping "extras" into the trolley :D
hope everyone gets off to a good start :j

I'd like to join in too. I've got a couple of items ending on Ebay this week that I'm already bidding on but apart from that it'll be a no-shopping week for me. It's going to be really, really tough as I've been comfort shopping far too much lately due to a broken heart :-(
