NSD here again, will have to get the shopping for next week on friday but will cut it back to the minimum. Also need petrol again but will be claiming lots back from work so really not too bothered about that for once as I'm driving a mimimum amount of personal miles at the moment.
mumzy - £2.50 isn't too bad on clothes, it's not no spend just minimum so could you have got him clothes for any less? probably not and kids grow SO quickly!Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

I've decided to join this thread as desparately need to not spend anything. I've just found out i'm pregnant with my second baby-I'm over the moon but really need to cut back now to be financially secure when the baby comes. I spent £10 today on petrol which is a necessity unfortunately but am going to walk everywhere I can locally to save on petrol.HSBC Visa-High interest-£2349.23 Nat West £2605.18

welome beck seven & congratulations on the impending baby! Welcome to the challenge!
well done SS - did better than me but aim for a NSD today for me!
Mumz dont give up! Just start each day afresh!! Some day will be better than others but doesent mean you have to give up!! £2.50 for clothes is a bargain and while the aim is not to spend money its not to loose out by not spending IYKIM - ie if you see a sale coat for 50% off that you need it would be silly not to get to because of the challenge IYKWIM!! The ultimate aim is to spend less generally after all, not to berate ourselves when we spend some!! Hugs for you. Hows the no smoking going?
Last day in work for me today as I have tomorrow off so I could have a nice long weekend! Not even on call so it will be bliss! Will catch up on you all later! Meanwhile have a good day all!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
I have been carrying £3.60 in my pocket all week. Might spend it tomorrow on myself :j
This week we have had a £1 shop open in my local town so no more 50 mile round trip to get to one :j
Need to get fuel tonight so that will £30 and might have a mooch around the supermarket to see what they have got reduced to clear. Even though I only have £3.50 left in the food budget until the end of next week .
I have tons in the freezer and really only need eggs and maybe some fruit but we shall see. I suspect that there will lots of salad stuff again tonight on reduced to clear as it is rather a grey day. And as I have been rather late in planting it better than paying silly amounts for salad stuff.
Yours

Hi All :hello:
Well this week I could not even begin to guess what I have spent. My Gran is in hospital and it has thrown things to pot slightly.
Anyho she is on the mend now has fractured something in her back and all they can offer is pain relief till it mends self. Needless to say she is in agony hopefully will start to get better soon.
So am planning to start a no spend week from Sunday this week, have managed to plan visists better for the next week and will be using my shiny new bike to save on parking :T and have lots of food stashed in cupboards and freezer to last the week.
So onwards we go.
Well done everyone on your NSD I still maintain it is not as easy as you think :rolleyes:Mortgage Owed: Sept 14 - £107398.200 -

Hi all, not posted for a couple of days, been having a think about the whole spending thing and my relationship with it but not really come to any conclusions! Not spent on any bits & pieces like bus fares but did spend about a fiver in Tesco last night, mainly cos I'd forgotten to take anything out of freezer for tea.
Oh and I haven't spent the vouchers, not decided what I want to do with them yet so it can wait till I make my mind up!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

certainly focusses the mind doesent it! If nowt else its made me realise how much I wanted to spend, even on groceries! Sad!! Getting there but will take a while to change the habits of a lifetime! Having said that have done well as paid off my o/d in full as well as cc's & loans so 800 paid off this moth & would never have done that before so its definately having a positive impact!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
