Ooops :o Was really tired this morning and the bus was just coming round the corner as I left the house, so temptation overtook me and I've spent £1.20 on getting to work  The thing is, this is where I'd normally think 'sod it' and start spending like normal, but I am NOT going to do that.

I will have to spend a whole 40p from grocery budget on toilet roll on the way home though (unless I can pinch some from work! ;) )

    Afternoon all,
Well i had a smooch round town and didnt spend anything but i did spend £2.35 on cigs this morning..but they now have all gone and im not going to go shop either so that means im not going to smoke any!
The only reason i had some cigs was i had terrible pain in my eye since sat and today under my eye went numb so off went to docs and i have migrane so im on tablets for it grrrrr
I went overdrawn by £8.16 so had to put the £8.16 in bank before 3.30pm else i would of got charged..so took it out the £30 i had but putting that £8.16 back in my purse tomorrow so im not counting that
    Hope everyone is ok

edited at 6pm to say total spends now are £4.70 instead of £2.35 :(

Day 3 and still no spends for me. I'm chuffed that I've done this much, although it's wierd walking around town on lunch and not buying. The temptation is huge.

But, I think I've enough fresh in to last me the next couple of days and hopefully enough frozen for the weekend but we'll have to see. If I can get through this week as a zero spend then I'll make next week a minimal one and see how I go.

    Hi everybody

I'm plodding along and being very good but my money still seems to be dissappearing fast. The trouble is that although I have meals in we're running out of things fast. So tonight is weird concoction night ( the blokes are having 1 beefburger, 1 sausage, fried leftover potato from last night, spagetti in tomato sauce and egg, topped up with bread and butter and I'm having the same but with quorn sausages in place of the meaty bits)
We've no real money coming in till the end of the month so I'm sure things will get weirder than this yet.

Anyway enough of my whinging I'd go and make tea.

    Bye for now

Evening all! Back from a late visit and can report that I had to spend money! it was actually quite odd TBH having not doe much of it! WIll add totals up later as some of the H&B shopping doesent come out of GB as it was vitamins and they are separate...Got ingredients for the curry I posted on weezles thread & hope its a good un cos the aubergine was expensive! (well in my new book of not spending money expensive!) but will hopefully last 5 meals...will let you know what its like! Hands smell deliciously of corriander!
Keep up the good work RS - you do sort of get used to it athough I did buy a cookery book today so sort of failed but feel like it was an investment as trying to cook less meaty food and dont have many veggie recipes...now I have 1000!

Hello  Well after the naughty bus fare, I had to put some money into a collection at work (was a little mean and only gave 50p but I don't really know the person.. but it's expected...). Went into Tesco on way home and there was no value toilet roll so got next cheapest which was £1.85  Picked up a few bits from reduced shelf as well while I was there, will all get used so don't feel to bad about that.. so total for today £1.70 bits & pieces budget, £4.23 grocery budget  Could have been much much worse as have PMT-related cravings for stodge, took huge willpower not to go into kebab shop on way home!! Back to no spending tomorrow, promise!

Curry recipe sounds nice, must have a look for that....

Yay - Another NSD. I'm having to start being a bit more inventive, but should be able to tweak a couple more days out.

Next week will be a minimal spend but I'm not sure at what level yet.

Well I said I was going to be good today, and I was almost, 15p on a packet of crisps (hunger got the better of me). Otherwise resisted temptation.. had a rather odd tea of sardines, broad beans and naan bread but that's part of the joy of money saving isn't it?! ;)
