    Hello Mumzyof2!
I'm still here, although apart from the odd burst I'm always more of a lurker than a writer!
Well done to everybody on here, I think this is great! It really focusses your mind on what you reallyneed, and it encourages you to 'make do and mend' instead of throwing away and buying new, a concept that fits in beautifully with my trying-to-be-green ethics as well as the moneysaving ones!
I have my wallet back, but I'm trying this week to spend as little as possible; I have cupboards and a fridge full of goodies, and that will have to do. I have friends coming over at the weekend, so will have to spend a bit then.
So good luck to everyone, and keep up the great work!

Looking good for another NSD here (and cinema visit cancelled so no pressure to spend tomorrow)... feels incredibly liberating! :) Oh and got email from ASOS - still on their mailing list from old credit card spending days - and in their 'essential' summer looks is a pair of long denim shorts which look very similar to ones I fashioned for myself last night.. £22.. ha, mine cost nothing, from a pair of jeans bought about 8 years ago, which were in fact a present when out shopping one day with my gran (sadly no longer with us - but I know she'd be proud of my thrifty attempts... :) )

    Hi All

Well yesterday I spent £28 on train tickets, better than the origional £58.90 they tried to charge me  Apparently I am supposed to say advanced booking to get the cheaper ticket.
Never had to say that in the past year and a half but yesterday I was supposed to know I had to say it .
Just shows it pays to research your ticket prior to buying or you never know what you will end up paying

Anyho rant over am off to MrS's later so will update my spends later

    Good Luck everyone

    Hello all,

Day 2 and another successful no spend day. But I was tempted though! Having to nip to one of our offices over the other side of town and passed the 99p shop where on a good day I can spend money into double figures. I refrained though. :rotfl:

Anyway I should be okay at least until Friday but I'm not sure about the weekend. We'll see when we get there. 1 day at a time. ;)

Evening all! Well not a no spender for me as had lunch out (monthly team event!) & had a yummy mr whippy icre cream for pud (1/3 the price of one "in!!") so better but not for my tummy which is of the wobbly variety! Book group last night but neither of these spends come from GB so in terms of GB actually nowt soend since sun. Did get cat litter today and will do a small shop on the way home tomorrow as need a few bits but again will keep it low. Feeling less stressy about it although have had my "fix" because I got some clothes yesterday (skirt & 2 t-shirts). Well done RS on the no spenders! It takes getting use to but once the initial panic goes is easier! Well done salster! Are you saving for anything in particuar? Keep up the good work mumz...Hello dutchy & mrsm!

Not saving for anything in particular, just make sure theres always something there for me and the kids if needed. Plus theres the need to pay off 2 loans and 2 cards which should be done by around mid 2010.

That's great willpower resisting the 99p shop - I know the feeling well!

Made it to the end of another day without spending, it does feel a bit like I'm missing something but nice at the same time. Even made some money as sold a couple of things on eBay - all going into the holiday fund for the summer!

Been busy, so not been able to post. Haven't spent anything since I did my main shop on Saturday. Looking OK, but few things starting to accrue on the shopping list. Tonight's meal may be 'interesting' as there is a random selection of leftovers in the fridge.

Not the GB, but I was miffed that I had to go to the hospital and back by taxi yesterday. Emergency visit to Eye Dept. Grrrr Total inc tips was £13.50.
