I blew it.:o .....but i still managed three days of NS:D
With more notice i really think i could do this and plan to plan more and do this on a regular basis. The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -
Unfortunately today I will be spending money, as I'm going with my parents to Makro to buy a few things in bulk for the next two months. I don't think I'm getting any food though, so the no-spend on food should be ok. I tend to stock up on toilet rolls, kitchen towel, boxed tissues (I've got hayfever and a very sore nose from using toilet roll), and washing liquid-I have to use non-bio as I have sensitive skin. On the upside this is a planned spend and money has been put aside for it, so it won't be a shock to the budget.
Yesterday I ended up having to buy a bottle of water in town, as I managed to drink the one I'd brought and the carton of apple juice I had with me as well. It was so hot on the tube, I thought I'd faint at one point, but I was saved by the fruit salad sweets I had in my bagGrocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3650 -
Morning all. Cat food (dried) is running low but I'll wait until after monday and am now out of tomato k! Plan for today is read book and if migraine goes (we had storms here yesterday so that may be the culprit!) and then go to the allotment although the groud may be to wet to dig there are lots of other jobs to do...glad you survived the nettles tb!! Sorry some are off the wagon
Will have to have a think about budget for next week although Weel informs me that I could do this for 3 weeks with what I have in the house!! The mere thought makes me want to hyperventilate!!

Went to Mr M for weekly shop, spent too much on some things, but out of the £29+ the COrnflakes were still on BOGOF, so got another 6 packs, dated till next April. ALso each has a free swim voucher on it, so they will come in handy for the holidays. 2 big boxes of cornflakes and a swim for £2.12? That makes it a cheap swim and a lot of free cornflakes I think!
I was truly disgusted to find that Mr M's icebergs were even more expensive (£1.09) than Sainsbys (95p). I was even more amazed to see that there were 2 lots of iceberg in bags on the shelf, which had different prices, the newer ones being 89p and the older ones 79p. Told dh I have some lettuce seed, but we both agreed that it wasn't much use for teatime today!
Got BOGOF little muller yogs for lunchboxes and snacks, WW ones for me, I quite like those for a snack, but not been brave enough to look and see what is added to them. Good deal on pack of good cheese. What I will do I think, is take the cereal and cheese off next month's allowance, as I won't use them until then at least.
Are we going to have a no-spend-challenge next week as well, I have found it very helpful. I will try and make a meal plan around what we have in. I do have an outline plan, but need to tweak it now around what I actually got, rather than what I thought I would get!

Hi well have managed yet another NSD
Went out with my mum and she treat me to a meal as I have passed an assignement from work with the best mark I have ever had :j:j (slightly over excited re this)
Well will manage another no spend day as am back off to the allotment tomorrow, to move the rest of the shed and an old hen house (I think thats what it is!)
So onto confession i will be breaking my no spend week early as I forgot it is my friends birthday on Monday and am going out. Opps.
So will have managed to spend nothing since Tuesday last week (except for bike lock and postage for squares) six days in total.
Like Mumzyof2 I am planning to set myself a personal challenge next week. Not sure what this is yet tho  will think about this tomorrow.Mortgage Owed: Sept 14 - £107398.200 -
Evening all! Well done on the work TB!! Fab news! What was the test for (dont answer if you dont feel comfortable!)? Weezl informs me I could do 3 weeks with no shopping but (a) I'm not sure how I would do it & (b) I am out of stuff like tomatoe k, butter & almost milk....but I will spend less than I wuld normally & try & keep spends as low as I can for everything! I will need some summer clothes as have none that fit but wont go mad...no spender for me today. Went to library but that was it. Spent 2 hours asleep trying to rid migraine but no joy - still pounding so going to watch a dvd with ice pack on my head! Flipping weather! Hoped the storm last night would clear it but ts still quite fuggy here...keep going with no smoking mumz!! Just think of the £5 + a pack...mad!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Morning all,
Can I join in? I lurk a lot on this board resulting in a huge store cupboard and packed freezer. So with this in mind I think I should be able to do this for a week sta:Drting on Monday.
The only thing I have to pay on a daily basis is car parking fees, and I make my own breads, buns and Quiche etc.
So I'll start tomorrow morning and see how it goes.

I think next week will be a minimal spend week, as we still have lots of veggies and yesterday my mum gave me a few tins of fruit salad which she doesn't want, so what with the frozen berries we have should be OK with fruit and veggies. I'm guessing here but I think no more than £8 for the week, before we started living off the cupboard and freezer we were spending up to £50, but by the end of this month we will probably have to do a restock of the larder and freezer, but that's OK.Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3650
