Had such a scary thing happen last night. Husband is away (typical) and a HUGE bug flew into my bedroom, buzzing around and being scary, so I ran downstairs to get the swatter, got back upstairs and couldn't find it so assumed it had flown back off.

NO - the little b****** was hiding and launched another attack, then settled on husbands pillow, I bravely ran to the bath room, got a towel and threw is over the bug, took the pillow to the window and tried to flick it off.

Pesky thing wouldn't move so I had to throw whole pillow out of window!!

This morning, went into garden and the flippin thing was still on the pillow (much to son's amusement!) So I moved it into the sun in the hope of burning it off or a bird risking eating it!

GOrgeous sunshine in Germany today - hooray:T

Looked like a flying cockroach - eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew

    But wasn't I brave? :rotfl:

Just read this out load to my DD and OH, we are all laughing out loud, :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    You are very brave :D

Llamahead, that made me laugh too.... and it was much needed today!!! Glad you got rid of it in the end - comes down to survival of the fittest, lol!!!

Janny/Dorry - it's not quite as bad as it sounds, just finding the time/motivation sometimes ain't that easy .... as I'm sure you know/have experienced - but it is the final few weeks of the year. Not thinking about the research project that I have to do at uni over the summer (I won 1 of 30 bursaries available through the whole uni so it was a huge achievement, but I do wonder what possessed me to apply, lol!!!)

But I do love social work, lol - I love being out & about meeting people, being my own boss to a certain extent. Sure beats being office-bound full-time which is what I used to do & was always bored witless...!!!!

Dorry, if you manage to find the title of that book that would be a HUGE help, thank you so much :) It's definitely tension combined with using a laptop all the time, am being careful to keep taking breaks & I have next week off from my other typing which helps. What's LD nursing?? (just being a bit thick...). I would have liked nursing too, but I don't like blood, lol!!! Would like to try hospital social work though, I think that would be pretty interesting.

All these mentions of roast pork have made me realise I haven't even thought about dinner & now the shops are shut.. maybe will go & see what Mr T Express has up the road.. :)

Janny, just noticed, breakfast - at 4pm?!?! lol

PS - I have written 811 words :) Only another 2189 to go, but I do find the CA comes together quite quickly cos I'm writing about something real. Unlike risk which is a proper 'academic' job. urgh....

    Hiya :hello:

Went for a pee before bed last night, mr tru got there before me and walked out of the bathroom laughing, saying we had a bigger than usual visitor in the bath. I assumed it was a spider and wondered why he was laughing, he hates spiders. I looked in and there was a tiny mouse running round the bath at the speed of light :D I have no idea how he got there  We put him down the bottom of the garden.

We've been to my dad's, it's his birthday. I bought him a book, some chocs and a bunch of flowers :D No-one buys flowers for men do they, so I thought I'd be different.

Been to Matalan for mr tru's work clothes. I didn't mind spending the money cos work will pay him back. Got soaked

Mr tru is adapting the piggymouse cages as I type, they need to be bigger really but they'll have to do for now. We'll do proper alterations once we know how many babies are on the way and what the sexes are.

Loads of berries on the blueberry bush so I'm happy :D

Hi everyone. Hope your days are going well or at least better than mine.

Mine started quite well - I had a lie in and a bath (I usually shower) even managing a face pack. Then I got up, emptied dishwasher... got slightly grumpy as my DD and boyfriend (who live here) had come back v late after work last night and cooked a meal but not cleared up. So much for Flylady's clean the kitchen routine.......

They all slept in. DS (16) is at a sleepover (still there... doesn't want to come home!) DD 2 (14) is playing computer games: she's not keen to help, as she lives with her dad and only visits alternate weekends.

I asked DD 1 to help clean bathrooms etc but she said she was too busy getting ready for work. Her boyfriend agreed to cut the grass but has disappeared! The grass is getting really quite long too.

So, it's just me... So far I've made a pizza for lunch (they weren't too busy to eat that!), made yoghurt, prepared a roast that is still cooking, made rhubarb pie and swapped over lots of washing. I have a pile of ironing to tackle too - so much for a Bank Holiday weekend! I did manage to finish my book though.

I'm supposed to go to a gym class for 6.15 but I'm too busy - It seems silly to go to a class when I have so much to do here - on the other hand, it's for me!

It'll probably rain when I get the mower out but I'm going to tackle that garden. Then I'll feel virtuous and can work off my annoyance at the rest of the family!

redruby, that is so sad about your dh's friend

could have been nice here but always a cool wind so got more of the paper stripped from the hall, weeded the back garden and went to tesco, their cheap curry sauce went through at 4p

First time in today, hope you are all having a good day.

We have had friends overnight plus dd's b/f. This morning we went to town. Thought visiting girl would like it. Bit hard to tell really!

DD was pleased as she got 2 zip up cardi style tops on BOGOF at H&M, they were already reduced to £3, so worked out £1.50 each. I paid £20 each for a pr of black linen and white linen mix trousers for her, needs the white for morris dancing, black will be a useful, lighter weight change from jeans in the summer. Now I have to shorten them.
