Good morning :hello:
I didn't get much done housework-wise yesterday, I think I needed a rest. Meal plan and shopping list got moved around as the girls didn't come yesterday, they're here today and tonight instead (I often find out at the last minute, though to be fair this time I think OH didn't know either). So we had a lovely tea of fish, rice and canellini beans yesterday, tonight is back to the pizza plan as we have mozzarella that needs using up. My soup was lovely, I was very pleased as I pretty much made it up!
Got loads of plants for the garden yesterday, OH came with me so we spent more than if I'd been on my own, but he did pay for half, and it was nice to spend a couple of hours out with him as we don't do that very often. I'll try to get out in the garden later today if the rain holds off.
Right now I'm off to sort out the kitchen and make the banana bread that I didn't manage to do yesterday.
Have a good day!

I haven't been around for a couple of days as I've been ill (food poisoning I think, I decided to make Twink's hobnobs ) so will catch up on the threads later after church
Best wishes
ivyleaf xx
You poor lamb.
EssexGirl DH just plants 1000 seedling of everything he's heard of. We've even got some Yacon to harvest shortly. Yes, I typed yacon. It's an earth apple & tastes nasty.
Ruby That is a sad story. Lucky he has your DH for a friend. Can't believe his new wife's attitude.
Cat I'm going to have to watch what I eat as well. My chol test came back 7.05 . It's heridarty (sp) though but I will have to do something about it.
Well tea was nice & off to have a shower. I've found all my tapestry & wool so might make a start on that tonight. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Morning folks
Washing machine on, doing a load of whites. I'll google a forecast and see whether I can hang it out.
Plans for today - start painting the staircase - at least I can do the wall below the bannister and then OH might be tempted to do the bits I can't reach. Gilliana and I did the hallway when she was staying here, so it looks lovely, then it kind of merges into horrible old staircase.
Tea tonight will be another stirfry or else maybe a veggie bake with the half jar of bolognese type sauce that's in the fridge. Might do that as I could heat it up again tomorrow and get either more painting or the garden done then without cooking.
Other plans include reading Zahir, by Paulo Coelho. I love his writing and have read The Alchemist, The Pilgrimage and By The River Piedra I Sat Down And Wept. This one looks good too.
Dog walking today - think I'll walk round the river with them on lead, or at least the younger one. They both chased a nervous greyhound yesterday at the common and I was really annoyed with them. Our youngest one senses when a dog is even more scared than the cowardy cat that she is and she will bark at it, this prompted the older very sensible one to think something was up. The dog's owner was really nice and we chatted. She said it happens often to her dog, so probably there is something that other dogs sense. Still, it's not acceptable doggie behaviour by mine!
Ok, dog rant over.
Have a lovely day all

Jannyannie – oh good luck to you!!!! It will be such a huge relief when you’re done…. I have to do this essay in the next 10 days, then I have another to do in the 3 weeks after that & put together portfolio of work placement experience but also do frontsheets for each bit of evidence I put in there & explain how it meets the various standards I have to demonstrate I have achieved… That will be more time-consuming than difficult. Then that’s the end of my 2nd year, and start again in October for the last year – although the time has gone nowhere!!!!
Catowen, thank you for the hug J Have one back ((())))
Blueberry muffins…ummmm….ohhh… now I have to get up & bake….!!

Dont know what its like weather wise as haven't ventured out yet (still in PJ's:eek: ) poor birds and squirrels will think i've given up on them today.
Liver and bacon for today and maybe followed by chocolate mayonnaise cake if i can get to shops before they close (need cocoa and sr flour), have to get motivated today...
Would like to visit a garden centre and get the garden done but have no vehicle at the moment...failed MOT and can't afford the repairs just yet.
Anyways off to get some breakfast.
Hugs to all in need.

Morning all

I'm having a quick dash round with a damp cloth, putting a couple of wash loads on, top dressing a couple of large plants and decking them out with pansies and swee pees then (what's left of) the day is going to be dedicated to sitting in my chair outside doing grannie squares and hoping it doesn't rain.
I think I need some practice with these crochet squares.... the first one had 5 sides
Oh, forgot to say, about the being done for assault on the bag snatcher thing, the police were just advising me that it was a "possibility" if they caught someone and he had a snappy defence lawyer, they were not planning to arrest me on the spot, although that thought did race through my mind at the time. Fortunately common sense kept the thought going until it was out the other side.
Coot chicks are out on the water today, the unhatched eggs have gone so the family is 4 plus the teenager. Teenager has finished building his own bedroom nest (with some help) and finds it so comfortable he won't get out of it to help feed his baby brothers and sisters. You can guess what Mum has to say about that!
Taplady (((hugs)))
I hope everyone is making the best of the weekend
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead
