CHOCOLATE MAYONNAISE CAKE (uses mayonnaise instead of eggs.)
    You will need:
    Ingredients:
    275 grams / 10 oz self-raising flour
    225 grams / 8 oz caster sugar
    1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    200 grams / 7 oz mayonnaise
    4 tablespoons cocoa
225 mls / 8 fl oz boiling water
    1 teaspoon vanilla essence optional

    Icing.
    75 grams / 3 oz butter
    225 grams / 8 oz icing sugar
    50 grams / 2 oz cocoa
    2 tablespoons milk

Mix all together then pour into a lined tin.

I do it like a traybake for about an hour at 180c leave to cool in the tin, ice, then cut into slices.

Doesnt last very long in our house and is very moist. Great for a big chocolate hit.

    Morning all,

Lazy mare reporting for duty, sir! Didn't crawl out of my pit until 11.00am. In my defence, I can't remember the last time I ever slept past 8.00 so I'm not going to feel guilty about it.

Wet and miserable here so just as well I got my washing done yesterday. :j

XDH's sister has had a baby boy so I will be able to give her some of the unisex clothes that I had bought for my nephew's baby. Will be glad to get them out of the house tbh.

Aussie had to :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: at the photo of the old dame in her cut-offs. Still can't decide if she was wearing them as a dare or a fashion statement.
Amie Happy Birthday to your DMum.
redruby Hope your DNephew gets the decision he needs/wants. As for your DH's friend, I can't believe his wife was selfish enough to walk away from her husband when he needed her most of all. Wonder what she will do when it's her turn as I believe "What goes around, comes around".
Catowen No, you are not alone! I have a DS who is exactly the same.
grannybroon Have a fantastic holiday. Have you mentioned where you are going?
Squiggly and tattycath's DD Hope the migraines are no more. ((hugs))
Smoky, Pen-Pin, anniestar and anyone else who needs one - ((((hugs))).

Going to drop the present for XDH's sister round to his then the rest of the day is my own. Will need to do some exercise, hoover around downstairs, then get some stuffed bagged up for the loft. Hopefully DS will put it up there for me tomorrow and get the stuff for the recycling centre/charity shop down.

Freezer is looking very empty so may go to the supermarket later and see what yellow-stickies I can find to fill it up.

    Have a sunny Sunday. xx

Racy just read your post and had to :rotfl: at the five-sided square. I haven't volunteered my services for the Wooligans as I'm a terrible knitter. Everything I make ends up triangle-shaped as I pick up stitches along the way.

As I can't cast off the knitting needles would have to dangle from the blankets. :o

Washing is in the machine and waiting for rain to stop so I can hang it out.

DD(14) starts SATS on Tuesday so have been trying to "spoil" her a little to reward her for her revision.

Made home made Scotch pancakes for her for breakfast which she enjoyed.

Lunch will be home made chicken marinaded in Lemon and chicken with organic jersey potaoes, asparagus, carrots, broccoli and cheese sauce.

DH complaining because there will not be mushy peas! Well he should have asked me to soak some last night.

With only a small top oven working most of the stuff I cook has to go on the hob so I just cannot do it!!!!!!

Might try tortillas or pitta bread for tea tonight stuffed with onions, chillie beans and sliced sausage and see how it turns out.

Hugs to everyone who needs one and see you later.

Going to clear up the kitchen - Oh Joy!

    Afternoon

Well work turned into a long day yesterday - didn't finish until 9.30pm. Things are very up in the air there for everyone, as our company's making some big changes which aren't going down too well.

Got the day off today. Had an early morning call from a friend - seems her man problems are over. I think that's the most polite way of putting it:rotfl:

Roast for dinner later then off out to a psychic night.

Not many daily clicks available today, but will check back later to see if any more are available.

    Hope everyone's ok

    Back again

Dorry - thanks for that, will give it a try.

Aussie - perhaps we should try Mr Aussies gardening style, not seen any Yacon seeds which is a bonus but have visions of harvesting loads of lettuce one week and one week only, will be after your lettuce soup recipe....or maybe not :D

Pink1970 - thanks for the recipe will give that one a try.

Shez - havnt been to Watt Tyler for ages, think will put it down for something to do in the big holidays.

Weather has stayed gorgeous so far so have decided on barbeque tonight, our first one this year. Been to town with the kids and had a lovely walkabout. OH is jet washing the drive and think we will do the planting when he has finished. Have made an executive decision not to do the ironing as the weather is just too nice and we have to take it when we get it (mind you the forcast for the week is very good).

Treated myself to the Good Food mag so will sit down, have a drink and have a look at that whilst waiting for OH to finish.

    Afternoon all !
Bit grey outside but at least its fairly warm. Having a lazy day and spent the morning making birthday cards. At this rate I'll be starting Christmas ones soon...............lol
Stuff needs planting or potting on in the garden but OH wants to do that this afternoon after he's come back from his Sunday pint or several.
European market here tomorrow so OH says so I hope it stays fine for that.

Have a good day whatever you're doing and hugs (((((((((:o )))))))))) to all those who need them
