Is Welcome Finance going bust?

I was told by TS that even if I hadn't received my CCa I could not get agreement 'unenforced because I have paid them some money.
Unsure of what to do next as they haven't reponded nor has they answered regarding the gate kicking! Any suggestions please

you asked what probs i was having with our friends welscum.

dont know where to start.
local branch instigater of most problems throgh incompetance,harrassment on a MAJOR SCALE
i.e calling my mobile 20-25 times A DAY.
sending a young student age kid basically about 19 round to my door demading money with menaces (or trying to until he saw the size of me lol)
An elderly or vulnerable person would have given into them.

These leeches are like credit referance agencys-once they get a sniff of you they dont let go!!

Bottom line they tried every month to take my dd EARLY
I wouldnt let them so i cancelled dd made complaints to h/o,area managers ect.
They are all like indian call centres they are robotic and read from scripts.
Got nowhere fast so today i served them a writ.
claiming loss of earnings being self employed,harrassment,stress,intolerable incompetance,you name it it covers it!!

Hey all this is my 1st post, im currently living in Australia and stupidly I took out a loan with welcome, my credit rate is very poor, this is part of the reason I moved out here as I can start again, I was paying welcome back each month and they didnt take the DD for the last 2 months, I cant get hold of them to sort this out, so was wondering what to do. If welcome Finance do go bankcrupt and no one wants to take over there loans, would it mean me not paying them back.

Any help on this would be gratefull, and if I left my debts in england, how many years until they would be wiped ?

As loads of people use facebook, well most of the UK, why dont we set up a facebook group on Welcome Finance, so people can post there comments and we can actually find out the real truth behind this terrible company.

What do you lot think ?

Good idea facebook. I haven't heard from them and even got the debt advisor to write and get a copy of my CCA but they haven't replied to him either.
Unsure what they will happen as told their debt could be sold on to a much more 'lenient' co Ocean Finance name has been bandied around but unsure.
If I hear anymore will post it.
Got the debt advisor ringing me today.
Can't see that WF can take any money off anyone if they don't respond.

Silly boy james;
You dont have to run to skippyland just to avoid debts.

Just do what i do, go below the radar of credit agencies like me.

i.e use companys that dont do credit checks.
tiscali take on people without credit checks for broadband/phone.
halifax get a bank account without a cc.
ect

If you dont apply for credit for 6 years all your debts just get wiped.
if the likes of welcome ect harrass you just move and lye low.
(not to aus though ha ha)

Hi Gina, that's untrue. TS will be looking at it from their point of view, whereas from a court's point of view, without an agreement, there's nothing to enforce.

I sent a SAR in a few weeks ago. They have until 9th March and then, if I don't receive it, I'll be complaining to the Information Commissioner.

Yes I know all to well about direct debits coming off early, and Welcome are the only company who ever have, hence why I cancelled them.

Keep us posted on what happens.
