ive had a call from welcoms legal dept about the writ i delivered on mon.
basically saying they would pay IN FULL compensation owed to me through loss of earnings ect.

Furthermore i would recieve 6 months payments on car FREE!!!

Im not getting to carryed away i want it in writing.

Good for you the baskets deserve nothing.
Got myself a solicaitor who will help me with WF on legal aid due to our circumstances and he said that 'a couple of branches of Cattles went into liquidation on 8th December, Wf are heading the same way.
Sending him (by recorded delivery of course) copies of paper from and to WF.

I heard worse about cattles,liquidation is just the start according to my brief!!

But i dont trust a phone call,i will keep pressure up until its in writing.
Hopefully by the time my payment holiday ends 6 months time welscum will be DUST!!!:j

go for all you can take every oportunity you can , Been told to pay the bare minimum 50p a month they cannot not accept payment and because of a clause in consumer act 1997 after 6 years they have to wipe the dept off regardless who or if they have passed it to.
Hey I go that way to London always 303 stop for a bacon & egg sarnie in the layby brilliant I go to watch footie For my sins I LOVe ARSENAL they are the tops to me.Keep going against WF i am taking them to court for harrasment and kicking my gate in. has any one been fortunate enough to get any ppi cash back from welcome???i tried re-claiming with no luck ,so decided on using a company to deal with them for me as they are a nightmare to deal with(always passing me to loads of different people at different branches across the UK )driving me crazy now ,this has been goin on for the last 9 months

Believe me kazdolly this lot will drive you barmy.

Just ignore the branches and get legal aid like gina-get the baskets done for harrassment.

i always find in a situation that welscum are in running out of money/backers i.e cattles.

The best option is stall for time and let the natural wastage that is welcome finance gradually go bust.

Imgaine we had everyone who had a loan with welcome and we had a month where no one paid, ha ;-) Just kidding it would be fun though.

After seeing on here about problems with Welcome, we had a car from them in June 2007, it is in mine and my partners name, but i am main name on account, lost job september, and had a payment deferred over christmas as did not have the money, paid Januarys by card over phone, and asked me then to set up a direct debit which i did, numerous phone calls from them which i dont answer, they then 2 days ago turned up on doorstep and seemed concerned why i had not answered their calls. He said can i take payment by card again for this month, (payment not due till 29th (28th this month)) as they had a new thing brought in this January that as i am now unemployed they could not have a direct debit set up so would have to pay by card each time. Seems strange to me, just another weird thing from them.
