I have now tried to respond several times and my mail just disappears..will try once more before I give up. I'll just keep editing so I can save a bit at a time.
You must be much more pro active here if you are going to get somewhere, don't just sit and hope all goes well do something to reassure yourself that all is well.
To re ask some questions already asked , what is their feedback on ebay like? Don't just look at the percentage, check the comments as well are there any problems, is seller still sselling or have they disappeared? If they are still selling then there is the possibility you are being lied to and they are stalling you, it could also mean that they are using Auctiva to prelist, so check that as well as Auctiva is shown clearly in the auctions almost like an advert.
Also although you say you just paid a paypal invoice, go and check what you are paid for. That makes a lot of difference to what can happen. If you still have the invoice check that, also check your paypal account, what does it say the payment was for?
If this is a scammer, and of course we don't know that, then letting them stall you is almost certainly going to mean you will lose your money, especially if they were clever with the invoice.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I just emailed him and asked him if he could get in touch with his brother and get him to arrange the courier as agreed before he comes back as Friday is too long to wait and then wait for him to get a courier after that.
What do you mean by the invoices and what it was billed for? I do not understand. I will look at the invoice but what should I be looking for? You say what it says on the invoice can make a lot of difference to what will happen. I will go and look. Please will you pm me and explain what you mean. I am feeling completly lost and bewildered here and gullible and old. I am not with this new world and I do not like it very much. Thanks for your help.

OK, by look on the invoice I mean what does it say is the reason you are making the payment?
It should say either 'goods' or 'services' or just send money to xxx, or if you are lucky it will state payment for mattress and bedding. If you log into your paypal account and then into the transaction that is where this info should be.
However 3 feedback and out of the country as an excuse would have me itching for a chargeback already.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. As seller has stated you were paying for a mattress and bedding this will help, but there is still no guarantee that you will get your money back. Put in a dispute if you can just to let the seller know you have concerns.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I know that many people are very wary about buying items like beds and mattresses from ebay. And when you read about the experience that Taffyscot has had you can understand why. However if you follow a few guidelines then you can save up to 75% on the shop prices:
1) most important of all make sure that the seller gives a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
2) check previous feedback for the seller, and even contact previous customers to ask them about the seller. Also read all their negative or neutral feedback.
3) make sure they have recent feedback (unused accounts with good feedback are sometimes hacked).
4) make sure most of their feedback is for selling, and that it is for similar items to those you want to purchase
5) use a company who display their phone number, so that you can talk to someone about your requirements (they want you to make the right choice because it will cost them if you return it).
6) check the sellers return policy. Many sellers charge for postage on returns.....can work out very expensive if you have unpacked a vacuum packed mattress, and you don't like it.
7) try to use a seller who delivers using their own transport. Couriers often damage or misplace goods (believe me I know from experience).
Obviously you can't try before you buy, but for the saving it is worth the risk if you follow the guidelines above.0
