You're right it is uncanny, thought I was the only person ever who worried about the medical records thing. Also right, it is easier said than done.
Its not as if I want to join the army or something, so who would care about my medical records?! :D I'm just a born worrier me, but its something I've learnt to live with.

    Hi Rosy,

I know how you feel, well, at least I did.

When I was your age (15 years ago) I was living in a hostel with few clothes & NOTHING else, no partner-- nothing, a part time job that paid the hostel rent-- I knew nothing about rent benefits or stuff like that. I was drowning. I was on medication & drinking as well.

Life is different now, the only drawback is my partner (check my posts).
I would be really well off if not for him:rotfl:

I decided that I would try & pull myself out of that life & did---get yourself a pad & pencil & start making plans.

I would like to tell more here but it may be tedious & inappropriate on this board.

    Good Luck X

Please don't feel it would be tedious or inappropriate, any advice gratefully received, am v glad I posted now, everyone on here is brilliant and I have been very moved by your replies, has been so interesting to hear other people's stories and to find that maybe I am part of the way down a long road rather than being stuck. Stories like yours make me feel embarrassed for complaining, I know people have picked themselves up from far worse situations, just as you did. But it is just so hard to see at the moment.

    Morning,

Just wanted to say hello and well done for posting and finding a great place to come to.

You've done really well to get this far and that shows lots of guts and determination. I suspect you could help a few people yourself while you're here as inspiring stories are always welcome.

Got to go now but keep posting....

Well sometimes we need perfect strangers to show us we're not alone and that things we never dreamed off doing can be acchieved!
Ok so you're single... Well use it as an oppertunerty to take jobs you might not be able to when you are settled with a partner - like jobs that require lots of travel! I've made plenty of mistakes a long the road but the 3 months abroad was what I needed to kick start everything. I ended up chatting to a chap in the bar of the hotel I was stuck in one night, he sent me a mail the other day out of the blue having just found my e-mail on a pieces of paper! That's 3 years ago! Just asking how I was what I was doing these days etc - like a blast from the past. But you do meet all kinds of people out there that you'd walk past in the street normally.
And if you want to get nostalgic then sign up to facebook and try to look up old friends you went to school with etc :) It's amazing to catch up with people from decades ago - some have married, some have divorced, some have kids, some are single living with 20 cats

Your task for today is to find something FUN - something that makes you laugh :)

Morning Rosy.....I hope that you feel that the world is just a little bit better this morning.

Can't remember who mentioned St John's Wort earlier in the thread, but I would like to second that idea. St John's Wort is herbal, non-addictive and extremely powerful. I have been taking it for PMT for about 4 months now and the difference it has made is amazing. Don't get me wrong, I still feel 'out of sorts' occasionally, but don't get the mood swings I used to.

I would definitely recommend you do a little research and see what you think.

    Speak soon.
YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

really....it's not hard to understand :T

Morning Rosy just wanted to say re the possible depression thing, I have been on both anti ds and st johns wort. The anti depressants helped me during a particularly difficult time in my life and I took them for 6 months at which point I began to feel a bit more in control of my life. Since then I have at times used st johns wort as a natural remedy although I am no longer depressed. But life is difficult sometimes and i dont want to sink back into the depression. I'm so glad you posted on here as you have made the first step to feeling better. If you dont fancy seeing your Dr please give the st johns wort a go I think asda is cheapest and give it about threee weeks to start working, it wont be any great blinding flash more a gradual feeling of generally coping better. good luck
