Why do peeps not buy Value eggs? What's wrong with them as I have some in the fridge....
I have ethical issues about my meat and eggs, so i always go for free range or ideally organic, but i've no issues with people who buy Value eggs and meat.

When we go to Tesco, i regularly used to buy Value chocolate and biscuits. We go to Sainsbury's usually and i buy their economy chocolate and jaffa cakes all the time.

Value chocolate biscuits are perfect, and they're only 40p or so a packet!

Remember if you're unsatisfied with a Tesco Value product to take it back for a refund. (If you've kept your receipt.) Or an exchange for something else if no receipt.

You could effectively taste-test the whole range for free! :D

It will be there for the next 13 weeks, its Tesco's reaction to the news coverage of the cost of living going up so drastically. I think they want to show that you can still shop cheaply in their stores, and also to try and reduce the "embarrassment" that alot of people still have about buying value.

When it was being done yesterday, one of the girls at break said "at least we can see all the cheapskates down one ailse now" i went mad at them, saying that sometimes that is all people can afford.

This comment comes from the person who has 3 weeks in florida every year! Nice life if you can have it...some of us can't, can we!

Yeah but when people like that end up on their a*s they'll know about it. Always felt it's nice to be adaptable;) :rotfl:

LOL just nipped on to post about these. Great buy. How the hell do people pay a couple of quid for tortillas and cheese in abox when you can do it yourself for about 40p.

I explained to my 11 year old son the other week that things were getting expensive and we might have to make some cutbacks. He said his mate's mum buys most of the value stuff and we should try them to see what they taste like (I actually already do buy some value stuff but obviously he didn't know).

Anyway on our last shopping trip yesterday he went round the store finding value items and we are trying out a lot of them and giving them marks out of 10. Had the Swiss style museli for breakfast and he gave it 10 out of 10!

I've been convinced for some time that the value rice pudding is the same as the healthy living rice pudding - unless they have changed recently they both have the same ingredients, fat, sugar etc content!

What a fantastic idea.I will get the little uns to wright down what they think of the value range, and myself. They are so fussy, but if they got involved,i think they would be open to other things as well. They dont know what is branded stuff and whats not,so its really my thoughts that have to change on the things.

I usualy get smartprice, but always got john west tuna as i thoght asdas was crap, it was horrible and full of skin and bone.

However i tried tescos value tuna last week and its pretty much exactly the same as the john west stuff. Reverse of the situation with frozoen chicken breasts, asda smartprice are great, tesco value are shcoking (and only have about 60 percent chicken according to the ingredients!)
    Waddle you do eh?

well I am soooo jelous we dont have a tesco or asda just expensive coop at the moment here on the isle of lewis. But we are getting tesco soon.
Last christmas I took my car on the ferry it cost £100 plus my fare and then drove for an hour to get to inverness so I could fill up with value products and i did fill the car to the top all seats n boot and yes doing this saved me a fortune belive it or not. My favorite bagain buys were an angel delight type desert 3p a packet yes 3p and shower gel was 11p this is such a saving. Dont knock these value products they are a life saver for me. I just wish we had that choice here now without the ferry fares
