Very good info thefuzzbox, thanks. 10% off totally annihilates Quidco's 3%, and with the instant cashback (if true ;)) saves you waiting months from Quidco. Excellent stuff.
  • I know i'd be happy with this, can anyone who wouldn't be happy tell me why? perhaps some special connection with 'your' capacitors?

I think you missed the point. I think its prob that people want their hard drive back, the bit with all the music on it! If they indeed transfer that over then Id agree - sounds like a great deal!

Do you know what happens to ya musaq - It would be normal to have a special connection with 'your' music :P!?

The stored music is irrelevant - if you're using iTunes properly then a copy of your music is on your PC too, including the relevant playlists that are synced to the iPod.

The 10% cashback only applies to the new Egg Money card and after the Currys Egg cashback fiasco I'd be very very wary about any Egg cashback deals!
Don't blame me, it was like that when I got here!

True but I have more faith in these new cashback deals as they are not a limited offer like the Currys (bank holiday I think?) deal was.

Just ordered a black 4gb ipod nano and cannot wait for delivery which they say between 7 to 10 days as I am also getting engraved.

I was going to buy an ipod mini a while ago but I am glad I have waited now and it will be good for my hold in 5 weeks time

Good choice, I've got the same -no engraving though (as it lowers its value if I decide to sell it on).

You won't be disappointed, it's a fantastic little player, make sure you keep it in something protective as it will scratch very easily, just like the standard iPods.

Not planning to sell it once I have it, just wanted to make it personal

I have seen the skins on apple shop but they are not out yet which is a bit stupid as I would have thought they would have released all accesories on release

When do they hit the shops as the are only sold through apple at the moment from what I've heard

    Cannot wait for delivery
  • I've just been on the apple american website and it's $249 for the 4gb version... thats £137. Compared to the apple UK site where it's going for £179. It says free shipping on the american site. So whats the catch here?

The US site only allows orders from people in the US.

Besides, even if you could order it, customs duty, taxes, and handling fees would wipe out any saving.
