Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs Catznine
crazychik a neighbour was overcharged on her bill and was getting nowhere so she phoned energywatch and sorted it all out for her but PenPens advice is good, hope all goes ok with your Dad0 -
Must be a day for eon - I just had my bill through - they came to read the meters last week - they read both but have sent an estimated bill for the gas that's over £550  I just phoned them with the correct reading and was told that I owe £45 (much more like it). Why they couldn't have used both readings first time round it beyond me.
Naff day here - got a cold starting so feeling muzzy. Had a huge row with DH this morning which didn't help.
Scrubbed the shower cubicle out to releave my tension earlier.....it's all sparkly now thanks to a vinegar and bicab rub.
Potato wedges and sausages for a quick tea as DD's are off to youth club later - DH and I will go to Mr T's (if he's talking to me now that is)
Hope you all have a great evening."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Thanks - where would I get the number? Something needs to be done. They've made me pay for the lecky, but I'll be damned if I pay for the gas!
I'll have a quick browse on net & see if I can find the number in the mean time.

Evening everyone,
Popped into Tesco on the way back from w*** tonight to pick up a couple of things and ended up spending £16. Hmmmm...... I don't quite know how it happened. I was planning to be soooo good this month too. Hasn't quite happened yet.
I then got home to find our electricity bill waiting for me. Luckily, it's not too horrendous, but I suppose it could be better (ie non-existant!). We turn most appliances off during the day, so it's just evening usage. I suppose we need to be brave and switch the heating off, just like they have done in school today. The message on the staff noticeboard this morning was "1st May, heating off". We've been told!
Speaking of school, we had a "motivational talk" from the head at our staff meeting on Tuesday night. We got told that "if you don't improve then you'll be put on capability proceedings". Then in the next breath she (head) told us that adverts had gone into the paper for teachers at our school and those on temporary contracts could reapply for their jobs "and we'd welcome your applications as a formality". But I thought that everyone was rubbish?! Needless to say, my thoughts on leaving the school were confirmed (and teaching?), so I'll give it until half term and hand in my notice.
Right, DH has just text me to say that he's 20mins away. I'll sort the tea out - tuna salad tonight.Nice and easy. :rotfl:

Evening all, I got my butt into gear and pulled myself to pieces, so I dropped off dinner to DD and SiL to be and lef it in their fridge, meatloaf and veg with roasties, they get home late from work so I like to spoil them.
I deceided to take their 2 labs for a long walk on the Mendips, black clouds and sunshine but no rain, the fresh air did me good. Got home and cooked DH a mixed grill for dinner, I love my fish and salad. 1 load in wm and now I will treat myself to a glass of wine. Thank you all for your kind repllies to my last post. You truly are lovely caring people. :A0 -
Evening all
REDRUBY glad your nephew is getting sorted. I know people like your SIL and I don't know why they bother to have kids.
Hi Poggle
Bethebee hugs to you.
Vicky A we also have capability in nursing. So nice to know that you can't do the job you've been doing for years.
JackieO I know Herne Bay well, my best friend still lives there. Enjoy your fish and chips.
Have sorted out DS a Victorian costume, even the teachers dress up. Have planted my red onions, some spring onions and a line of carrots and covered them up with some mesh. It was so lovely at the allotment, with all the birds singing and the parakeets bombing around. DS had sausage, veg and gravy for tea. I'm off out for tea in a bit to a friends house.
Have a good night all

Good Evening All! Have quickly skimmed the thread - sending ((HUGS)) to all who need them and best wishes to all celebrating. VickyA - get looking at other schools - you sound like some other school would appreciate you even if your own head doesn't! This country needs many more good teachers, so please don't let one person drive you away! Am more tired than I can say, so ought to go to bed soon. Going up to Scotland for a couple of days on Saturday - really looking forward to that. Take care all.Resolution:

Betheebee - I used to love walking on the Mendips. I was born and brought up in Weston-super-Mud, not that far from Glastonbury. Your mention of the Mendips made me feel really homesick even though I left W-s-M in 1980!

Evening all
The Wetlands was great but dgs was a little beggar. took such a long time to get him out of there that we ended up coming home in the rush hour - a big hooray to the customer safety man at Richmond who literally shoved us into the train together and a big boo to the mad busker on the district line who managed to insult everyone in the carriage. on the way back I picked up my new dab/mp3 combo to replace the one i drownded - i do this a lot so have paid for insurance AND put it in a safe place for once. I also got a ds charger for dd(11) so am the best mum in the world .... for now anyway.
hugs to those with family problems, those dealing with reminders of the past, the poorlies and anyone else who would like one.I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080
