Morning all  Lovely sunny day here - still a little wet from yesterday. Hugs for those that need or want them :) I'm having a paperwork day today - which isn't good as I have the attention span of a lobotomised goldfish. Still, I need to finish writing this paper and it's all good thesis fodder - but it's so repetative I want to scream. The supporting information alone on this bit span 150 pages - I'm only up to page 23 of formatting :( so slow and dull....

We're of out for dinner tonight, one of the girls from the lab is leaving and going off to the States to work, so it's her goodbye, so it should be nice.
A batch of twink's hobnobs have made it into work (I split the mixture into five again, so we had chocolate, banana, spiced, ginger and peanut butter flavoured ones) and they have gone down very well with morning coffee. :)

It's all madringals and Morris dancers here on mayday - our college choir sung from the staircases this morning which was quite nice. Once again I didn't make it in in time to hear the Magdelen boys school choir sing the dawn in from the tower like they do each year though - quite an Oxford tradition.

    Catznine - happy aniversary!
JackieO - I remember dancing round the maypole when we were at school too and PE lessons the weeks beforehand would be taken up with practicing the plaiting sequences. Hope you have a nice day in Herne bay :)
Mrs Flittersnoop - please may we have the recipe for the carrot muffins, they sound great :)

Cooked pasta for tea last night and boxed up the extra for OH for lunch today and tommorrow (I've got cheese sandwiches). have a good day all, cel x

Just popped back to say - Happy Anniversary Catznine!

Also Crazhchik - in your circumstances I would probably be ready so say the truth & get to the point but I would then up skirting the issue & having a general chit chat then I would go home & regret not saying it - iykwim - so I would say go for it. Good Luck.

    morning everyone

well and truely got the knitting bug. knitted the parts for a rainbow baby by Jean Greenhowe (or something like that!) yesterday for my godson. Need to go and find some child-friendly stuffing and sew it together. I am ever so proud of my efforts so far. I even have another project lined up after I have done a few more preemei hats :D As you can see I am really enjoying this week's me-time :D

House is in pretty good order so will only do a quick wipe round the bathrooms today and hang out the washing when it's finished spinning :D

my bug-bear is the list of little errands building up. I have manahed to put it off all week, so better get started today.

Devoured this months good food mag last night and there are lots of yummy recipes in there for me to test out. I have a craving for HM quiche all of a sudden!!!!

Well, suppose that I had better get on with things....might just have to have a cuppa and a read of some more threads first........

PS forgot to wish happy anniversary to Catz - have a lovely day xxx

    Morning :hello:

JackieO - I never thought I would say this, but I hope Boris gets in too :o My parents would be shocked if I told them... bet they never thought a child of theirs would ever contemplate voting Tory :D
PenPen - no, I didn't eat it all - the remains of the rice pudding are in the fridge :D
redruby - I hope this is the start of a big change for your nephew and his family.

Having a trying day at work. There are far too many people round here with what I like to call Derriere-Elbow Syndrome. Still, if there weren't, perhaps I'd be out of a job  It certainly keeps me busy, sorting out other people's incompetence!

As a result of this, I don't have much time to stay and chat.

Plans for the day: work work work; buy James Martin book from office booksale; go to ballet lesson; visit polling station; watch "The Weakest Link" (one of my colleagues is on today's show!); do various dull things on my computer; eat chilli; hopefully get an early night.

Hope all are well & happy, or at least positive :)

    Love Rzl xx

Morning all, I have been catching up on yesterdays thread and was quite moved when I read Jackio's post. What an amazing person you are. Your list meant so much to me that I shall take a leaf out of your book and do likewise.Stay possitive and count my blessings.
I was feeling very upset because I watched Corrie, and left the room in tears when Maria had to give birth to her baby that had died. It took me back to a very painful time in my life when I had to do that when I was 20yrs old. I'm still thinking of that time but felt much better when reading Jackio's post. So Jackio, you say that so many people on here have helped you, what you don't realise is that you also help people, esspecially me today. God bless you for that.
The grass is only greener on the seed packet.
Hugs to Jackio, Smokie,PenPin and all in need of TLC.

Been busy this morning, its a lovely day here so far, so we have walked to school, and ive been doing a few bits in the garden. Ive also hoovered and im just waiting for the LO to get here. We will then be having our lunch and then wizzing into Plymouth, as at 8.30 this morning DS showed me his shoe, just as we were about to walk out the door - the sole was hanging off!!! Why he didnt tell me yesterday when he got home, i dont know, but not a lot i can do when he has to be at school at 8.50!!!

So, that will take up our afternoon, i do have a few other things i can get done whilst over the bridge but it wasnt what i had had planned for this afternoon!!

Not sure what dinner will be tonight, but my lunch will be the left over cous cous we had for dinner last night, it was lovely!!!

Crazychick I would just jump in with the questions you want answered. By the sounds of it you've got nothing to lose & it might clear the air.

Well I've had tea and just about to have a shower. Then hit the sack. Enjoy the rest of the day. Byeeeeeeeeeeeee

Hmmm... Anus-articulatio-cubiti syndrome - I work with a few sufferers too but I'm not allowed to say things like that since I jokingly suggested to one girl (who is lovely bless) that might be the cause of her problems and she booked an appointment to see the college GP. :wall:

    please no...make it stop.....
