    Morning!

((((HUGS)))) Smoky and anyone else who wants/needs them.

Haven't had a chance to post/read posts lately as working full time plus being a Mum is taking it out of me ... however I'm really enjoying both so I'm not complaining just need an energy boost :p

Packed lunches done and ironing about to be done. DD's both still snoring .. but need to wake them.soon. I feel terrible waking them up as they obviously need their sleep as before I went back to work they were always up by half 6 at the latest  Strange how they still manage it at the weekend :rotfl:

Kitchen's clean but need to run hoover over rest of house and mop floors tonight. Have got stock, prep'd veg and left over chicken out of freezer to do a soup with tonight too.

Manchester tart sounds lovely :D might have to try that one at some point.

Martyn - lingerie? Have I been missing more naughtiness :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a great day .. off to get dressed, wake DD's and whiz through ironing.

    Luv xx

Were you thinking of a general photo for the forum or something a little more personal? :o And you a married woman as well, shame upon you :o  :D

It looks like it might be a decent day down here weather-wise. As for 'owt else, I'm not sure I've got the energy. Being awake half the night with this cough has left me more shattered than ever.

Take care all and my thoughts are as ever with those in need.

    Man try :D

    morning all,

Not raining here :T , not sunny either  , still could be worse. Off to w**k again today, need to do my month end accounts.

I don't know if anyone remembers the trouble we have been having with my nephew, well his social worker was driving to work last Friday and found him laying in the gutter passed out with drink ( at 9 in the morning), and he had vomited down himself, he is 14, she took him home to his useless mother who promised to look after him more. Fast forward to Monday, and nephew turned up at the social w office saying that he would not go home, (he still had the same clothes on, covered in sick) so SW thought enough is enough, and has placed him in a childrens home for 10 days, and is hoping to make him a ward of court on Friday. :T :T

I swear this is the best thing that could have happened, I love my brother but him and his wife are THE most useless parents, they should never have had children, it borders on neglect, and they have 3 other children at home

Nephew is now being fed regular meals, showering each day, and being taken out to pictures etc, on Saturday he gets £60 clothing allowance, as when his mother packed for him, she sent 2 pairs dirty socks and pants, a dirty t-shirt and joggers, this was supposed to last him 10 days. SIL is also the type who lives in a well to do area, and all she is concerned about is what people think of her, she has all the latest laura ashley soft furnishings, and had her hair done regularly, and yet her children are practically neglected  .
Any way at least nephew has a chance now.

Well I have been going on a bit this morning, (sorry), OS wise not a lot today, will swipe round and make beds before work, and we have oven fish and chips tonight. Sainsbugs delivery later too.

Jackie, glad the last chemo is behind you :T

Amie, nice to see you posting xx

    Smoky, hugs as always xx

REDRUBY - yes, I remember you mentioning your nephew some time ago. What a sad situation; how on earth can parents treat their children like that? At least, as you say, he has a chance now. I wonder if the SS will investigate how the other children are? I do hope everything works out for your nephew and his brothers and sisters. Please keep us informed.

AMIE - frogs are SO cute; the jumping is part of their charm!

MARTYN - well, I'd better not have a personal photo to keep in my wallet - my DH will ask questions! Hope your cough gets better. I had an inexplicable cough about two weeks ago; it lasted three days and kept me awake then it suddenly went. I blame it on Fawley Oil Refinery - we live about half an hour away from it and I'm sure that, when the wind blows in the wrong direction it gives me what I call a 'bad air' day!

Well, why am I sat down here? I've already posted - twice I think - but when I walked past the computer I just had to sit down!

I'm going now - see you all later.

    Morning all

Mixture of cloud & glimpses of blue sky here, seems bright-ish outside...
(((((smokey, penpin, jackieO, mrsmix))))))))))) and all others who are in need. Hope those headachy people feel a bit brighter today too?

TNG - I shall say good morning to you, lol (not that someone else has forgotten you already....!! :D ) and - of course - :smileyhea :kisses3:

Jet77 - you can't turn your back on Martyn for more than 2 minutes & he's up to mischief ;)
Did you wake up to more birdsong today Martyn?

N9eav - Happy Obby Oss day - sounds interesting - will you be part of all the merriment then???

Can I just say - cold custard.... eugh.... :( Now hot runny custard & bananas, mmm, scrummy :)

Redruby - sorry to hear of your nephew's problems but glad to hear he is now being looked after properly. HOpefully someone will follow up the other children up as well. Sometimes with their parents is not always the best place for a child (sadly.... :( )

Anyway, day off today, but bits to do.... will check in later, meantime have a good day all.

    .

Not just any birdsong. At about 4.00 this morning I had a Tawny Owl in the tree behind me "kee-wicking" to his chums and he was followed by our resident Mallards who flew straight over the top of the EAH!! I've got all the usual suspects chirping away at the moment and in top spot is a male Blackbird in the top of one of the pine trees. He's singing his little heart out and it's a real joy to listen to.
