I've not heard him lately but I need to bring all my feeders round here soon. I keep hearing the Green Woodpecker "yaffling" away in the forest but at the moment, it's the Blackbird in pole position with a Male Chaffinch close behind. The males are gorgeous little things at this time of year and their song is a treat to hear with the flourish of notes at the end.
Note to self: calm down dear, you're getting enthusiastic:rolleyes:

Morning all. Was up in the night as couldn't sleep, sewed from about 3-5.30am and then went into the spare room and slept with the radio on. I do that rather well!
No breakfast as yet, still too thirsty, so will get more tea and then return to read/post some more."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Morning everyone
JackieO so glad to hear you are on the home straight now. You have been a true inspiration. :T
kyle hope you get your ear sorted. Sounds painful.
redruby It's hard to believe that a parent could treat their child that way. Hope your DNephew gets the care and attention he so desperately needs now.
Job No 2 today. Not sure how much work there will be. Hasn't been much over the last few weeks.
Think I will take DS and DD to see Iron Man after school today. DS is a big fan of the DC and Marvel comics and can't wait to see the film. I just like Robert Downey Jr.
Put BM on timer last night so woke up to the smell of a freshly baked loaf. Need to go and make sandwiches for my lunch and DD's. No idea what's for dinner for DD. DS and I will have curry.
Have a thrilling Thursday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Good Morning All
Happy Obby Oss day N9eav
Jannyannie - when my son was 'victorian' he had his school trousers tucked into long socks, his school shirt then a waistcoat and flat cap I picked up from a charity shop.
Redruby - (((hugs))) to your Nephew.
Late posting as do not know where the time has gone this morning. Was bright sunshine first off but now totally clouded over, OH has no work today and wants to work in the garden so will keep my fingers crossed it stays dry.
Have some paperwork and phonecalls to do this morning then am meeting friend for lunch in Maldon. Need to pop into superdrug whilst there and also pick up some small baskets from £stretcher - there home stuff is very nice and reasonably priced. Also can pick up some free range eggs from the butcher as these are nicer and so much cheaper than tesco.
Have a tesco shop coming tonight, dont know what is going on with my food shopping at the moment, normally only do one online shop a month but have had one each week for 3 weeks. Will have to keep a close eye this month.
Well enough waffling, have a great day & (((hugs))) to anyone who needs one.

Morning Chums ,sun is shining here at the moment ,but who knows how long it will last .Am feeling very well at the moment and full of energy(must be the steroids) and am off to my youngest DDs this morning to help her clean her oven.it seems to be in a smoky state so I will do the shelves and she can do the rest.
I have my sis-in-law coming this week-end for a couple of days so it's big shop tomorrow to save us going there on Saturday.
I may have a trip down to Herne Bay on Saturday with her if the weather looks good as we can get a nice walk along the front and fish & chips for tea.its only about half an hour from where I live and the air is wonderful there.quiet and peaceful as well and no hills to struggle up.I have been going there for the past 60 odd years since I was a little girl and my uncle lived there and it's hardly changed at all. very old fashioned sort of sea-side, a bit frayed at the edges ,a bit like me really;) I hope everyone has a good May Day. When I was a little girl and lived in Blackheath we had to dance round the maypole on the heath, very embarassing as the other local school John Bull used to take the mickey out of us church kids I went to All Saints school and it was a very traditional CoE school.
We also used to have the school outing on Accension Day which was good .Today it actually falls on the same day, so I don't know if the school still does it or not .
I shall be watching to see who gets to be the new Mayor of London I hope Boris gets it as he seems to be like a breath of fresh air, and I think its good to have a bit of a change now and again.Well folks time for breakfast
<<Hugs to all in need >>and thanks again for all your kind thoughts

If you have any energy left, could you pop round and clean my oven pleaseYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Hello everyone :hello: :hello:
I've been lurking round here for a while and usually have a read of this thread in the morning to motivate me ... bit of a catch 22 really - feel motivated but can't seem to stop reading
Anyway, got a nice day planned today, DD1 has gone to pre-school with her Cinderella dress to dress up for a King and Queen parade .... so excited bless herSo it's just me and DD2 this morning. Going to see my friend for a coffee and to talk babies as she's due next week. Then it's home to do a bit of flying and work out my shopping list for tomorrow. Trying to be super efficient and plan a whole months menus at a time - it was a new years resolution so I'm doing quite well to have kept it up this long!!
Enough wafflingjust thought I'd say hello
