    Good Morning All

Been up since stupid o'clock. Needed the loo, then lay awake thinking.

After giving up hope yesterday, of DAD not returning my message/call, I finally received a text last night arranging a meet/coffee for Fri 16th May. :j Only took him 5 days to respond. Now the question is people  - Do I talk about the weather & geneal chit chat about tom, d!ck & harry in the family, or go straight for the questions I need answering about his lack of communication/effort to rebuild our relationship and despite the amount of times Ive given him the olive branch, he's not grabbed it! There wasn't a day in the past which went by where I would phone him or vice versa! Last time I spoke/seen him was on Mother's Day! In that time Ive heard Im going to be aunty again (announced on facebook) and my sister has got a new partner (announced on facebook) Things like this we used to talk about, but now - Im not included! Sorry - moan over......

WM on, its slowly piling up again, so hope to get it down before the wk end.

Won an exercise bike of freecycle last night, OH went to fetch it, but came home without it. He said, it was a 1920's push bike, converted into an exercise bike, which was covered in brown parcel tape holding it together! :rotfl: He declined politely!

    Anyway, best be off
    Have a great day
    Love Emma

    Morning everyone

just waiting for dd(11)'s friend to turn up and then we're offski to the Wetlands - actually the back garden is a bit of wet land at the moment so I could ...... nah i don't think I'll get away with it somehow. I say ready - me and dgs are having a battle of wills about getting dressed - he's had his bath and is in the Nicky Nacky Nude in the naughty corner giving me evils.

Will be voting on the way out - a friend of exoh is standing but I don't suppose she'll win

    have a good day

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello:Good Morning!

32 years ago today it was cup final day and half (well a few of) the congregation were out in the church car park listening to the match on the car radios! We are off for a lovely meal out with friends tonight, if they ask what we have bought each other they are going to be confused and maybe a little disappointed, as we have ordered a food dehydrator! Isn't that romantic!;) there is really nothing I want, I have all I need and feel very very lucky. In 3 weeks time (half term) we are off with a carload of supplies (food, red wine, good coffee) to Norfolk for a week in a riverside cottage and that will be romatic enough for us.

W**k today but only 3 hours for me and no cooking!:jStill tackling the ironing mountain though!

Kathy - I am still knitting, just had to rest for a while as my arm is sore from the tetanus shot!

((((hugs)))) to PP, Smoky, JackieO, Emma, Kyle and Mrs Mix and anyone else who could use one.

    Catz x

  • Hi all. Sunny here at the moment but big black clouds threatening to arrive.

Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs Catznine! 32 years is a good run!

Hugs to Smokey, PP, Kyle, and anyone else in need.

OH announced last week that there was a charity cake sale at work and despite me asking him what HE was going to bake, it ended up with me covered in flour and eggs in the kitchen last night  . Made spicy carrot muffins and a batch of twink's hobnobs, mind you not many of them made it into the tin for him to wobble off on his bike with :D . Just waiting to hear if they arrived in one piece (or at all).

No voting for us here either today unfortunately. I always make a point of voting and this time I would like to make my point very firmly but no opportunity, alas.

Had to take the cat to the vet yesterday for a review of her medication, the new young vet there had all sorts of problems taking a blood sample from her, poor little kitty. She now has two bald legs and looks a bit like one of those clipped toy poodles :rotfl:

Catching up day today, have a mountain of ironing breeding in the basket and I have a chicken curry to make for supper. Last night's Thai fishcakes were yummy but I think I overdid the chilli a bit :o , poor OH was spluttering and he has almost no tastebuds left after years of smoking!!

    Have a good day all.

Hi all - back again with a coffee.

CATZNINE - you are allowed to take a break, honest! My Mum had to stop knitting after her marathon ten hats because it was hurting her shoulder. Please don't anyone knit if it causes pain! I'd never forgive myself. Happy Anniversary, by the way!

Welcom POGGIE - I'd love to know how you chose your name!

JACKIE0 - have a great day today - you deserve it!

KYLE - get thee to a GP!

CRAZYCHIK - If I was you I would start with general chitchat then, if the conversation does descend into argument you can't be accused of starting it. Good luck - I do hope it goes well.

Happy 21st Birthday Master CANDYGIRL! He might not thank me for calling him that!

MARTYN - I'm waiting for the first cuckoo - I shall report when I hear it; we'll see who hears the first one! We have an owl that 'whoos' but I have no idea what kind it is. I can't wait for the housemartins to arrive - they're one of my favourites. I agree with you about the blackbird song; it's fantastic. They always seem so happy. Last year, though, two crows stole a baby blackbird and the parents were so distressed, it really upset me. They pecked the poor baby to death on a rooftop near me and kept chasing the parents off. I'm afraid I don't like crows very much; only the other day they chased off a lovely heron. He looked really despondent when he flew off.

Well, I have finished all my chores and I'm just about to go out to the filling station, the bank, the shop and the gym - in that order. If I go to the gym first, I'll be too tired to do anything else! I have a newly taxed car but I was really angry when I paid for the tax; on the reminder form it asks for £99 (for six months - I never know how long we are going to keep a car so I daren't do twelve months at a time) but, when I paid, I was charged £101.75! The lady in the PO said it had gone up in the budget but I think they should at least have honoured the amount on the form.

Hope everyone has a great day!

It was soooooo nice here earlier! Now it's [STRIKE]p*****[/STRIKE]raining hard. Have to go out and vote, so think I will leave that until later. Trying hard to finish sewing for chorus group, the 2.5 hour stint in the middle of the night helped! Other than that it's catching up with housework, as we have houseguests at the weekend.

I will choose a menu that lots of peeps can work on together....tortilla team, refried beans person, guacomole-wallah! you get the pic.

What's the best (read cheapest AND good!!!!) way of sorting the chicken I wonder? I suspect a whole happy chicken stripped while raw and then sauted for the tortillas.

Just caught up on the last of yesterday's thread - PenPen, TNG will have thought all his Christmases had come at once...!! Just looked back & realised the smiley wasn't perhaps the best one combined with what I'd written....!!!!!!

JackieO, just to add I think you sound amazing too & you have so much to look forward to :) (((hugs))))

Happy Anniversary the Catznines!!! Congratulations :)

Martyn, that sounds so heavenly, am a bit of an ignoramus around birds I'm afraid, is it quite unusual to hear the owls??? I saw/heard a little (think it was) chaffinch yesterday evening - at first I thought it was someone's alarm beeping as it was so loud & regular, then spotted him.. Sounds like I am getting ideas where to take DD's camping in the summer. We got a big tent last year & then I had pneumonia so we didn't go anywhere. I worry about going somewhere safe though as we're all girls :)

Crazychik, forgot to say - how about going for the mid-line as it's likely to be a bit of an awkward meeting..?? (i presume..) and at some point after you've said hello, just saying something like "I've missed you, or missed being in touch with you"? Sorry, not sure if your relationship is/was one that you could say that, but might be better than going in all guns blazing and not saying anything at all (as you'll come away wishing you had probably). Maybe saying "I'm not trying to have a moan/go at you, but just wondering why you didn't keep in touch..?"
