Morning all, Mr Dismal Failure reporting in :o

Ended up back home last night, again  The site I went to was just too wet for me to consider taking the EAH onto so I turned round and drove out then did a headless chicken impression for half an hour before heading back here. Ironicaly enough, it rained all night and I got stuck in the mud here instead so I had to pul EAH out with the JCB this morning

In an attempt to pull the odd chestnut from the fire, I shall endeavour to clean the kitchen today, then the Witch is at the vets this afternoon. Tea is something with mince, probably enough for all of Dorset :D and I'm going to have a go at making some of Twink's hobnobs and a banana cake, if I can find the recipe in the mega index.

Take care all and hugs to everyone.

    Man try :D

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Good morning!

It is pouring down here so another late walk for the puppy! she doesn't seem too bothered though but she does keep bringing all her toys, chews and (far too many) bones and dumping them around my feet, it's like an elephants graveyard around here!:D

I managed to get 7 tubs of pizza sauce from the large tin toms yesterday, so 7 meals for £2.20 isn't bad. Pizza for tea tonight, tomorrow we are eating out at a local fish restaurant that has rave reviews, it's our 32nd wedding anniversary!:D Must make a card today as well.

I have a veg soup going in the sc and have a pack of Julian Graves soup mix that needs using up so will have to boil and simmer some of that for half an hour and add it into the soup, hopefully will be a good and nourishing broth when blended.

Our veg box has just turned up! Today we have:- carrots, broccoli, aubergine, potatoes, mushrooms, mango, bananas and pears. £10 but from next week the price will be £10.95 - looks like the price increases have caught up with abel & C :( With a box of soya milk, tub of soya yogurt and box of org eggs my bill was £14 and will now be almost £15

((((hugs)))) to smoky, pp and also to

JackieO - lovely to read your post and good luck with the last bit of chemo, you truly are an inspiration to us all.

r.mac - just seen your wooligan totals! :T well done!

:hello:Shez, sorry I have missed some posts and just seen folk are sponsoring you, off to investigate how I can now!

    Catz x

Good luck JackieO - very best wishes.

PenPen / Squiggly - hope you two aren't going to fall out :naughty:;)

Gig last night was by turns very uplifting and very sad.

back to the OSing today - dinner will be pasta and salad.

Loads of rain about, but good for the veggies, at least

((PenPin, Smoky)) and those that need them

    Have a great day!

    Good morning! :hello:

I haven't had time to read the thread yet, or catchup with yesterday's, but just wanted to say thanks again for all the good wishes for my DGS.. Thankfully he was able to come home on Monday afternoon and is gradually getting back to his old cheerful self.:) His tummy's not quite right yet, but should be before long. DGD 4mo has a chest infection, but now has antibiotics so should be better soon too. Poor DD has had rather a time of it, but I'm glad I'm around to help her and to reassure her that they will both be well again eventually  :D

Got to go now, will try to catch up later!

    Best wishes

    Taplady :hello:

Well, been busy this morning, with 2 LOs here - one has just gone down for his nap, the other has a sleep after lunch, so not good timing but nice to be able to concentrate on one at a time, as they do get jealous!!!

Ive cleaned the bathroom and toilets, DW emptied and started to be reloaded and the WM is on. I have swept the kitchen floor, and will clean it properly tonight after dinner (will only get bits on it again at lunch time and then again at dinner i expect!!) and later i also want to wipe all my worktops and units down.

Dinner tonight will be couscous with tuna and vegetables for DS and me, freezer surprise for DD, as she is Miss Picky Knickers and doesnt eat much variety of foods!!

Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ivyleaf - took so long posting my message ive cross posted with you - so glad DGS is back home!!! Hope the antibiotics work for DGD!!!

Martyn - hope you find somewhere peaceful to sleep tonight (and you get your kitchen sorted too!!)

    Good morning all

JackieO - So glad the end of all this treatment is in sight for you now - you're a real inspiration to us all.

Hugs to all in need today - and for those not in need...have one any way cos I'm chilly and want to steal your body heat :D

Not been sleeping well for weeks now but last night really was one of those nights where every little creak and tick in the house drove me to distraction....I shall remain calm

Just got a pot of bolognaise sauce bubbling away, will freeze half for next week and the rest will go into a lasagne tonight made with some fresh pasta I made and froze last week, might makes some gooey, cheesy garlic bread to go with it too.

Been doing my wiifit stuff every day - the yoga is fab - I think every part of my back must have been out of place as all I've done since starting it is clicked and clunked back into place. Was a pleasure to swim yesterday without back ache!

Have swept and washed all the hard floors, beds all aired and remade and washing and ironing is up to date....time for the wii then I think!

    Have a great day all

Hi all - a rather drenched 'me' here! I hat to go out and tax my car so I had no choice in the matter. The Post Office had hardly any queue which I could not quite believe; I thought I was in for the long haul!

ELONA - have pm'd you and posted on Yahoo re crochet!
MARTYN - you weren't meant to go away; were you in the EAH when the JCB had to tow it out? I think it's great that you are planning on doing some baking! It works out so much cheaper than shop-bought stuff, you know what the ingredients are and it is much more filling!

Well, I hope the rain has stopped by the time I collect DGS from school at 3.30. At the moment, it looks llike it's in for the day.

Oh, well, off to do the ironing, then some w**k and then some knitting.

    See you all later.
