Afternoon peeps, this is the latest I have ever posted, I was up very early and started cooking at 6.45 did chick breasts stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon. Did another pot of split pea and ham soup, cauli cheese and have a beef curry soaking in the fridge ready to cook tomorrow. Was having os withdrawl symptoms due to spending all last week doing DD2's patio.
Tis DD1's b/day on Saturday so have wrapped her pressies and shopped for the ingrediants for her cake.
Phew, quite exhausted. A quick trip to recycle and then make overdue phone calls.
Jackie-Ohhhh, I didn't know about the ordeal you have been through, you always seemed so chipper, what a possitive person you are and that has obviously helped you cope. Well done and hope you continue to improve.
Special hugs to you, Smokie and PPin. ((((((((((( xxx)))))))))))
  • Afternoon all :) Haven't read through the post, this is the first time i've sat down today  phew!

(((hugs))) to anyone who needs them today

Gosh i've just sat down to eat my dinner, at nearly 3pm lol. I must be having an early nesting session because i can't clean enough (i may hire myself out, make some dosh lol). The bathroom has had the scrubbing of its life, including all the tiles and grout and now looks loads brighter :) Then i've been through some more drawers in my bedroom and chucked a load of stuff out, am going back up to carry on in a minute, cleaning the skirting boards and hoovering into all the forgotton corners :D

Thinks it because of all my cleaning but i am soooooooooooooo hungry today, ate a big bowl of shreddies and banana for breakfast, a cereal bar as a snack and just now a WHOLE frozen pizza and a yoghurt for my dinner :o Thats the most i've eaten in the whole of this pregnancy in one day lol. Sadly theres no salad in the house until i go to asda tomorrow so the pizza had to do ;)

Eeeek! 8 weeks til jellybean arrives  :)

    Have a good day all

It seems to have rained all day here, hubby couldn't work as it was so wet, some he was home by lunch time.
Great to see your post JackieO.
We were short staffed on reception today, so I went in to help out, I took a very irate phone call from a parent about one of our teachers who doesn't speak english, 3 guesses who that was about, I felt like saying 'You think your childs got problems, I live with the person you're complaining about'.
The big shock of the day was our Head giving his notice in, he's left it so late to tell us that we will be headless next term as there is no time to appoint a new one.
    Have a good evening.
    Hugs Hester

  • Purpleivy - I often find if the weather is heavy/stormy I feel very headachy, and I know others who do too - so could be a reason for it.

Martyn - yes, thanks Buffy for reminding... what did you get????? Hope they're not caked in mud now....

Hester- I really don't know how you haven't commited murder yet.. you must have the patience of a saint!!! Sounds like Head's resignation was a bit of a suprise, hope it won't make life too difficult in school.

TNG - me & PenPen will be best of friends....:kisses: We'll just put you on a rota!!!!

Anyway, must go to wickes/b&q and look at bathroom suites while middle DD monopolises computer for a while... then letters to type later :(

Well done JackieO - hope it went well today :j

Had a nice day, Tai Chi went well with no headache and my shoulders, back and neck feel much looser and relaxed. Enjoyed Hopi Ear Candle and am going back for another session in a couple of weeks - the face massage afterwards was particually nice.

Am now just waiting for dinner to finish cooking, am famished.

Hester, does that mean that you will be running around like "Headless" chickens!!
OMG, am I the only one here who thought that Katy was a foreign child/student you had taken on a school swap or Fostered a problem child. Sorry for misunderstanding, :o but have only been part of this great group for a few weeks now.

    Hi everyone

Jackie - I do hope today's last chemo has gone well and that tomorrow is the start of a wonderful new era. I am just about to have a G+T (small!) and will raise my glass to you.

Smoky, Penpin, Hilstep - thinking about you.

betheebee - you have no idea what HH has had to put up with! You should read her blog!

Essex - what is this ear thingy? Never heard about it.

I just don't know where the time is going. I am so busy at work but do manage to read the thread but of course can't post. Things have been busy at home getting DH ready for his next trip (airport run tomorrow morning leaving here at 5.45 am) and getting myself ready to go on holiday on Monday with the family. I am leaving here on Sunday afternoon as it is easier for the airport from DDs for the early start on Monday. Also I am trying to prepare the garden for the bedding plant planting when I get home on 19th May. I have £45 in National Gardening vouchers which I am looking forward to spending (Christmas pressies but also discovered some from the previous Christmas!!!!!!!!!) I want to rethink some of my permanent stuff (clematis etc) so will use them for that. B&Q for the cheap and cheerful bedding stuff. I have also bought Begonia tubers for planting up when I get back.

Just heard DGS1 has raging runs and temperature (going around playgroup). Hope he doesn't pass it on before we go away next week!

    Love and hugs to all.

(I sound like Dixon of Dock Green, Showing my age!:rotfl: )

Well OFSTEAD went okay (I think) they cam back in during Numeracy, but luckily it was going well, with all he children engaged and on task. They were meeting the Governors this afternoon for an interim report. I'll find out on Monday, can't be bothered to ask before then:rotfl:

I found some sasusage meat in the freezer left over from Xmas today, so defrosted it, and some pastry that had been there ages too, and made sausage, onion and cheese plait for dinner. Very nice it was too.:T

Well done to JackieO hope the last session went okay.

(((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) to anyone I forgot this morning.
    Have a good evening!

Being in the 'Education' business I know how stressful inspections can be. (I actually worked for the Inspectorate for a while!!!!!!!!!!!!).

Glad things seem to have gone OK today.
