    Morning All,
although the sun is shining the forecast is rain ,but nothing can bring me down this morning.I have (fingers crossed) my last dose of chemo this morning and I am feeling really chipper about that. I have had my letter so I can start radio therapy on the 19th May so at last I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Roll on middle of June when its all done and dusted. It has seemed a long haul at times but the end result ,hopefully will be the all clear in five years time .I feel confident the they have done their best to cure me, and although at times I got fed up with the hair loss and feeling very tired I have never doubted that I will survive. My family have been amazing and my two DD's the best I could wish for .Once I am finished with all the hosptal appointments I am going to take the two of them away for a long girly week-end and spoil them rotten.I have had no end of support from all of you on this site and I am grateful for it and I would love to buy you all a large glass of vino,as thats not possible then can I say thank you to all of you who have helped me get through the lat ten months from the dreadful days of last June when I was diagnosed to my op. and the following things that happened. You are really a great bunch of people , :A
<hugs to those in need> as I have had them from you all at various times
Roll on June when again, hopefully, the sun will shine and I can sit inmy garden with a large G&T and toast you all

    Morning everyone

Looks lovely here this morning but then again it did yesterday and then the heavens just opened for the rest of the day.

HM curry for tea tonight - general tidying needs doing but thats about it really. DD1 was thrilled with the straighteners i managed to get for a fiver.

Thats it really from me - nothing very much happening at the moment.

    Liz xx

Hope everyone has a good day.

  • Morning alll....

Murky & miserable here too at the moment, wonder if it's the weather pressure making people headachy?? Hope they clear a bit later. Jannyannie, I used to have synthetic filled pillows & they were really uncomfortable (don't know about memory foam), but I have feather ones now & love them.
Hilstep, I agree, don't think it's worth getting het-up about Ofsted, just keep on doing what you do :)
Mioliere, that has reminded me I forgot to do my car tax online too, so must sort that out tomorrow (and I think MOT is imminent as I bought car a year ago...)
PenPen, glad you had a good time with Gingham & enjoyed Ikea! I love Ikea, but only go once or twice a year as it's over 60 miles away. I go with my little sis in an evening, so we leave about 6ish, get home in the early hours (as it's open till midnight). Makes an easier drive into/out of Croydon...
Edit: JackieO, you posted while I was still typing, so just wanted to add good luck for today, you sound so positive and determined (even when I'm sure you haven't felt it) and we look forward to you toasting us in the sunshine (or in this case, torrential rain....)

((((((smokey, penpin, jackieO, martyn)))))) and for anyone else who would like them.

And TNG - :kisses2: :happyhear :grouphug: (I know I'm SUCH a scarlet woman...!!)

Anyhow, last day in the office for 5 days (will be essay writing instead...) & going to observe adoption panel, so should be interesting (includes sandwich lunch so I think that's very OS as I save money on making my own!!!! :) )
Time for another cuppa I think, have a good day all

Birthday wishes to anyone who is celebrating..!

Wow, JACKIE0 - you've waited a long time and been through such a lot lately; I'm so pleased that this is the last day of chemo and the first day of the rest of your life. Your DDs sound wonderful but then, so do you; they just can't help but be supportive of you! You've handled it all so humorously even though there must have been times when you could hardly stand the worry and the treatment. I have nothing but admiration for you.

Woken up with B****y neck ache again. Must be my pillows, will have to get a memory foam one I think.

HUGS to all who may need one today.

It tipped it down here last night. Looks like it might do the same today. Have a rotavator being delivered to the allotment today. Am dreading it as I just get the feeling it's going to be really hard work and I am soooo unfit. Good news is I have lost 2lbs this week by cutting down and not snacking.

Nothing much else to say. Dinner will probably be fish as I have some haddock to cook. Since I came back from our hols I am trying to eat fish more often, as it's cheaper and probably better for me tham meat. DS will probably have smoked makeral and OH can take the beef curry I made him to work.

Hillstep, your comment about Ofsted reminds me very much of me, Having been a nurse for 12 years, I'm very blase about inspections ect.

    Have a good day all.

    Jan :A xxxx

Jannyannie, I used to suffer very badly from neck pain and a physiotherapist suggested I got one of the Tempo memory foam funny shaped pillows. They had one for me to test before lashing out £60 or whatever it was then. It worked very well and if ever I go away I take it with me.

There is a 'rustic' nesting box just at the top of my patio doors. It was used a few years ago by a robin and at the mo I'm watching a wren whirring back and forth with beaks full of nesting material. I discovered on the web that mr. wren makes up to 3 nests and then mrs. wren decides which is the best.

    Hello all

Thank you for the warm welcome the other day.

Have had a thoroughly unproductive day. Given that it's only a 1 bed flat, it shouldn't take me long to tidy/clean but it's a total mess! Oh well.

I did manage to get out early this morning to go to the survey on the house we're thinking of buying. We're first time buyers and I felt totally out of my depth but the guy was very nice. Houses in Australia are so different to what we're used to that I don't know whether to be worried by the results or not.

Chicken cacciatore for dinner with lots of veg. Have been feeling a bit woozy lately and I know it's an issue with my blood sugar so there's an incentive to eat more healthily. Made a delicious self saucing choc pud the other day but won't be repeating that too soon given the calories in it

Hope you all have a good day. Don't really feel like I know anyone well enough to give special mentions yet but would like to say hello to Aussielass as a fellow Aussie :D
