I had to pop back to say good luck Jackie0. As others have said, you have been an inspiration and I am full of admiration for the way you have handled such a difficult time.

Who says we can't join you in a vino - cheers

    Morning everyone!

Just started raining here in Docklands! I was up early too 5.30, but so were the kids! I managed to drag myself back to the gym yesterday afternoon, especially as I had not been for 3 weeks!:o Now it's operation raceforlife training on the treadmill! How are you other ladies doing with your training???

Was so tired last nite I fell asleep, so I missed part 2 of Waking the Dead:rolleyes: so if anone can tell me who done it??

DS2 is getting invested in Beavers tonite, but apart from that nothing else exciting happening today.

JackieO - Well done to you, what an inspiration you are:A
penpen - fingers crossed for the eggs!
charliesmum - what toys did you sell? not fisher price was it? I've been looking at the garages to replace the one my son had and my second son broke! They seem to be selling for around £42!!

    Morning alll....

Murky & miserable here too at the moment, wonder if it's the weather pressure making people headachy?? Hope they clear a bit later. Jannyannie, I used to have synthetic filled pillows & they were really uncomfortable (don't know about memory foam), but I have feather ones now & love them.
Hilstep, I agree, don't think it's worth getting het-up about Ofsted, just keep on doing what you do :)
Mioliere, that has reminded me I forgot to do my car tax online too, so must sort that out tomorrow (and I think MOT is imminent as I bought car a year ago...)
PenPen, glad you had a good time with Gingham & enjoyed Ikea! I love Ikea, but only go once or twice a year as it's over 60 miles away. I go with my little sis in an evening, so we leave about 6ish, get home in the early hours (as it's open till midnight). Makes an easier drive into/out of Croydon...
Edit: JackieO, you posted while I was still typing, so just wanted to add good luck for today, you sound so positive and determined (even when I'm sure you haven't felt it) and we look forward to you toasting us in the sunshine (or in this case, torrential rain....)

((((((smokey, penpin, jackieO, martyn)))))) and for anyone else who would like them.

And TNG - :kisses2: :happyhear :grouphug: (I know I'm SUCH a scarlet woman...!!)

Anyhow, last day in the office for 5 days (will be essay writing instead...) & going to observe adoption panel, so should be interesting (includes sandwich lunch so I think that's very OS as I save money on making my own!!!! :) )
Time for another cuppa I think, have a good day all

Birthday wishes to anyone who is celebrating..!

That's funny you should say that about the pressure and headaches. I had one yesterday all day and couldn't shake it off.

    Morning everyone,

jackieO, that was a lovely post - I'm so glad that everything is looking up for you and the treatment is coming to an end - we knew you were invincible :)
    kyle - thats impressive ebaying!
Hilstep - Oh the joys of Ofsted! Hope it goes well for you all :)

It's dreary and wet here, but I managed to get into work dry, which was good. Now all I've got to do is avoid my boss for the day as he's really been on the rampage recently and Wednesday is normally my "progress meeting" day so I can see myself being used as a punchbag for all his stress (my work is going fine but that doesn't matter in my group  ). From what I gather, OH's mediation appointment didn't go well yesterday (again I can't ask him what they spoke about). He was really upset when he got in - as last week he said it looked like it was resolvable :( He said they will try one more meeting. He's so tired of it all.

Not sure what it will be for dinner tonight - I didn't cook last night as OH wasn't hungry and kept pacing around. Might do fish for OH and veggie burgers for me. I have to leave work early today to get home before my bus-pass expires, so I can at least see and end to the day. Not that I'm clock-watching already...

Have to hang around a lot today, as the granite company are going to look at my worksurface that has dropped. Don't know when they will arrive. Maybe I had better go and get dressed!

Been conned into covering a lesson for a colleague later on, but will think of the money, but will only be out for 1 3/4 hours.

Other than that the day is my own to get on with my jobs. I don't know where to start. I want to sort out my tubs in the garden and get some herbs planted. Have sewing to do, 9 waistcoats to finish for tomorrow night if possible. 5 are nearly done, others nowhere near done. If I get tired of that there's housework. If the granite peeps are here in good time, then I might go and look for wallpaper for my new treatment room.

Hope the rest of you have a good day.

    Good morning!

Oh this going back to work after my week's hol is a killer!

Will be having a quick whizz around with the hoover then making pizza bases for tonight, plus extra for the freezer! Kids can decorate with toppings themselves when they get home.

Need to grab some veg at the shop today, cooked a gammon joint in the sc and want to make some soup from the water, and also get mince made into burgers and meatballs - will need to get them in the freezer sharpish as oh working from home again and he will cook and eat the lot given the chance!

dd1 has the first day of her exams today, voluntary sats that her school do! She has been working really hard so I hope she does well, unlike dd2 who just crosses her fingers and then is surprised when she gets her results, or ds who just seems to remember things with little effort!

Have a lovely day everyone! x

Just wanted to wish JackieO the very best of luck and roll on June and good news for her!

Need to get washing machine on and soup ready to put in slow cooker for tonight.

Might make a chicken curry as well as I have peppers and onions to use up.

Looks like a quiet day today - at least till DD gets back from school so might do a bit more knitting on the preemie hats.
