While skimming through the threads I noticed a few comments about a really good cookery book with a title something like "How to cook healthy meals for your family with only a garlic press and a few saucepans!" or something similar! Can anyone tell me the real title so I can look for it at the library please.

How to Feed Your Whole Family a Healthy Balanced Diet, with Very Little Money and Hardly Any Time, Even If You Have a Tiny Kitchen, Only Three Saucepans ... - Unless You Count the Garlic Crusher... (Paperback)

Mr T is Tesco (saves writing it down every time in full)
    Mr M is Morrisons
    Mr S is Sainsburys

Hope that helps don't worry it took me a while to realise what DD DS OH and the like were referring to family members (depending on whether they were son daughter or other half!! LOL

Have just updated my signature Have decided not to add in petrol or day's out ie admission fees etc - normally they do come out of the money I have each week but will rearrange catergories next month. Otherwise I am going to be way over!!!!!!!! So food only makes it at least hopefully achievable.
Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.

Well I did my topup shop tonight at Somerfield. I think i can now postpone my asda delivery! Ive had the best week I can remember , only spending £41.71 on food(that is "just"food)
Freezer still nearly full-Ive used a few of my frozen meals I had made during last week so Im hoping to replace them over the weekend. Cooked some sausages tonight(12) ready for sausage cassrole tomorrow-I will make it bigger though so I have more to freeze. Soaking my split peas and some barlotti beans to put in it. I made dumplings to go in it last week-yes-I know-the weather, but we will eat that on cooler days.
Going to boil a few eggs and make up some egg mayonaise to go with the salad stuff I got today-I normally boil 4 and thats enough for 3 or 4 of us as we never all eat the same in our house.
Must have a go at the bran flakes cakeIve got some ownbrand value branflakes i didnt really like so I was looking for a way to use them up.
Started a trifle also-I may actually make the custard this time rather than using the instant stuff.
Made yoghurts in the week. My dd uses yoghurt on her cereal instead of milk quite often. Yoghurt with fruit-yoghurt with anything! Bought some icecreams today in iceland-12 cornet type ones for £1.50 so thats our little treat. Any other deserts are homemade. The manager commented I wasnt buying much(I used to work there)well I told him i didnt need much-that I dont fill my trolley with loads of "c**p to store in the freezer/cupboards then forget about and throw out when out of date. Just couldn't help it! I bought some booze in there but its not in my GC as I budet that as "booze" separately.
