Some of my tomatoes are out..about 10 plants out of 24 :p the rest will go out in a couple of weeks when they are a bit bigger.... i haven't waited for the flowers to appear... my grandad never did..and my mum doesn't..so i do as they did/do :D ... mine look quite tiny now... but when i planted them out i sink the stem underground so the 1st "true" leaves are just above the ground..the stem underground will produce more roots and make stronger healthier plants :j

Here is the beginings of my potio apotment... still a work in progress mind :D

Flavoured water - I know this is kind of obscure but go with it for a moment. My kids, as I expect most schools do now, are allowed a bottle with them in lessons but they are only allowed water not squash. My lot don't like plain tap water so I have been giving them flavoured water which works out quite expensive. Anyone know if there is such a thing as a non coloured squash that I could use to flavour the water please?

    Hi
Started my second week and shopping this weekend has been bitty but overall I'm pleased. Main bulk done on Friday and spent 32.00 between Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury. Saturday topped up with a couple of things missed at Asda (easy to pop in as it's next to the library). Then yesterday we went to get bread and checked out Lidl - were not impressed but did manage to pick up a cucumber for 29p, have been paying 70-80p and a 500g bag of yellow split peas for 36p - usually pay 50-60p. Then we went to Asda and whoopsies gallore. I have hardly found anything worth having for weeks but yesterday was in the right place at the right time. Got 6 whole milk set yoghurts for 20p Stilton cheese for 50p instead of 2.09, muller cherry corner yoghurts at 10p each watercress and baby sweetcorn at 60p each. Then popped into Mr T on the way home and picked up two loaves for 33p. As we walked we also saved on petrol and hopefully burned a few calories. Total spend this weekend = 42.10 and should only have to buy bread later this week.

    Hi all

I am really trying for a NSD today. Have checked the meal plan and I have everything in. Running low/out of cereal but going to try and get the kids to have toast or porridge for brekki tomorrow.

Tomorrow will be a spend day because I will have to get baby milk which will be about £8.00 - she is 7 months old so still a bit young to start movingon to full fat milk I think.

Hope everyone is ok - you all seem to get some great whoopsies - there is never anything I need or can use in the whoopsie section ;) I obviousley need to extend my recipe knowledge.

    T xx

Living off the freezer and cupboards for a few days, wanting to get the garden up to scratch while the weather is good. Mrs M your veggie plot looking good, mine too this week hopefully little seedlings waiting and ready to go in.

    good luck all for may.

I'm another part-time poster at the moment - work is bonkers and the internet is flaky at best at home.
Anyway, I've had a few small spends over the weekend - will update the sig in a minute.
I'm trying to get to 15th May (pay day) without another major spend - hopefully I can get away with just a fiver or so on the weekend on fruit and veg to stop me getting scurvy!
Will trawl back through the lats million posts since I last popped on now to see if you have any new fabuous ideas! (I'm expecting so!)

    Take care
