Here I am trying to keep to budgets and someone raids my bank account.
No idea how at present but have a feeling it was on PC. I will get the money back I'm sure but now I dare not pay any bills or buy anything on internet again.
On a lighter note I am doing well with my budget so far. Using my Tesco £5 off £20 spend each week instead of going big shop. Go on to Tesco site and order what I need then print list and go into shop. Its nice to go straight to what I have on list, no browsing saves cash. I certainly need to now.

I haven't spent anything yesterday or today other than 2 mystery shops. I will need to pop out tomorrow for fruit and other bits and pieces for lunches for the week.

I haven't done a meal plan for this week as I know things are going to be a hetic over the next few days. Hubby has already started to dismantle the kitchen.

irishwexford, sorry to hear that, my friend has just been through the same issue but she'd never used her card online, hope you get it sorted soon. The £5 off £20 spend sounds like a really good deal!

NSD, wanted to bake but after fighting with my scales to get them to work they went off again so gave up, think I will need to invest in some more.

Agree with the men sometimes just don't get it, the three in my house definately don't!
One day I might be more organised...........

Try frugal snacks like salted peanuts, homemade pocorn ,bombay mix etc as well as the sweet stuff

Good idea :) I've added some value tortilla chips, peanuts and bombay mix to the order. Maybe I can still keep to budget if he doesn't pig it all in one week... dont need much else as the cupboards and freezer are absolutely bursting. Fingers crossed.

betterlatethannever mmm choc banana custard is v yummy gonna have to make some tomorrow now you've put the idea in my head :p

  • Hi All
How quickly this thread grows!! Has taken me forever to catch up Been pretty good. Still haven't found receipt from asda the other day (it will turn up ) and I spent £5 in the butchers on friday. So really pleased with myself. The kids are thoroughly enjoying muffins, hobnobs, HM pizza and fresh HM bread They think it's christmas. It's amazing what a bit of planning can do!!

I have also discovered my cat food £5 a bag cheaper thanks to link posted here to another thread.
Off out tomorrow as weather is soooo nice (must remember sun cream) so BM on timer for morning and picnic bag at the ready. So that will be another nsd (well I expect icecreams will figure somewhere!!!!!)

Hi Angelnikki I too had pvfs from 1988 to 1996 but I haven't had a relapse since 1996 so fingers crossed. What annoyed me most was because I didn't have a broken leg and looked fine people thought it was in my mind-and it definately wasn't. I did find though the anti depressants did help. I was willing to try anything ! Take it easy
Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.

I went to the farm shop yesterday, spent £40 but came home with 10lbs of freezer mince all bagged in 1lb bags, 2 slices rib eye steak, 8 sausages, a free range chook , 6 duck eggs and 2lts of milk. Freezer is chock full now and that should do for the month. Fingers crossed.

What can I make with plain natural yoghurt? I bought a tub to use for the lemon drizzle cake only I have loads left. Anyone got any other baking recipes that use it please?

Its required in my BM recipe for naan bread. Serve it up with fresh fruit otherwise? Have it with muesli or something for breakfast?

Eventually bought my milk today-2 four pint bottles at £1.10 each in Somerfield(ones already used up-eeeeek)
    2 packs Reduced S/Kidney pies(pack of 3) for 75p per pack
4 loaves of warburtons bread at 30p per loaf-I wish I could have had the other 3 loaves but no room in the freezer!
Big pack of spuds-value ones which are reds this time for £1.85 and I treated myself to the newspaper which had the free UB40 cd in it. Only wanted the cd-cant tell you what the paper was but it was £1.50. Thats not in my grocery budget though as I only do food.
    So, £6.65 Sunday on food.
I went on mysupermarket and placed order for Mon 12th May but unless I use a lot in the week I may be postponing that-so nothing to count for that yet.
This is what I do-if I get the bargains in the week I take the items off of my online order and if necessary, I postpone it until its necessary. Just need to rresearch the ipoints system now as i don't have a clue!
Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults

well the meatloaf i made yesterday went down a treat...managed to freeze another 7 portions from it so am pleased about that :D

Twinks hobnobs....well, what can i say......put it like this, the batch made over 50 biscuits, and i think there's about half a dozen left, and i only made them yesterday!!

am treating myself to an afternoon at the bingo today, cos they've got a special offer on for Bank Holiday. it's only costing a fiver for the whole afternoon, so thats gonna come out of my grocery budget, as i haven't got anything anywhere else! fingers crossed i manage a win...even if i only win my fiver back i'll be chuffed :D

other than that, it should be an NSD for me

Hope everyone has a great day, i'm off to walk the dogs now cos its a lovely morning xx

Well I was woken up early by our darling pooch - can't lay in as I have to meet up at 10.30am to catch a plane to spain with the girls from work:j

Have left the GC purse in the hands of OH and DS:eek:  - they are under strict instructions but while the cats away;) ;) They should be ok as they have enough food - luckily they both see the point of the GC and have been reaping the benefits (HM bread, cakes, soup and main meals) they also have enough meals in the freezer to last - I'm only going until Saturday you would think I'm going for a month:rotfl:

Anyway I will be back at the weekend full of enthusiasm to get started again - lol

    good luck everyone:T
