Well as my month finishes on Friday when i (hopefully)
get paid I dont need anything else between now and then so Im declaring a May total of £47.90 have discovered this month that I spend a lot less if I weekly shop rather than monthly shop so I think I will continue to do this unless I need to stock the freezer etc.
For me on my own its really not worth the online shopping as I have to spend so much to get delivery (asda) or spend so much to use a MOC (tescos) that I dont really see the benefits. However its taken until this month to realise that:rotfl:and thats only because I have tons of soap powder/toilet rolls etc which is what I ususally add to the order to bump up the total:rotfl:
Hugs to everyone that needs them

Hi Jay Jay,
Could you share with us the recipe you used for Chelsea buns. Were they made with Danish Pastry?
All I did was take a good lump of dough and roll out to an ablong about 12" x 9", spread over marg or butter (I used Utterly Butterly as I have pots in from Asda a couple of weeks age), sprinkle over dried fruit and sugar.
Roll up along the long edge and slice across into about 12 pinwheel pieces, put in a baking tray close together so they rise to touch each other.
When risen bake (I just put it on the shelf under the 2 loaves) but don't let it get too brown. Take them out of the over and drizzle over with a mixture of icing sugar and water (not thick like icing but more like thin cream.
Leave to go cold.
Can't you tell I don't do compliated:rotfl:

Right, since the new thread has started, I'm gonna declare my May total at £52.84
£7.16 to spare
Don't need to buy anything between now and Friday, and won't be going anywhere near a shop til Saturday, so I'm done.
Next month won't be so easy (the freezer is almost empty), but I've decided to aim for £60 again in June, not overly confident though!!0 -

Hi Mrs M,
I am declaring at £303.94 for May - quite pleased as we usually go well over, so don't mind being £4 over. My month finishes on Thursday, but I don't need anything until Friday and will put anything I 'accidentally' buy between then and now on June's budget.
I did say that I was going to do £300 for June, but I think we can cut back even more now me an' hubby have had a good chat. He is totally on board - I've done so well this month and he can see a change, so we are going to divide up our money into envelopes each week and he's even going to cut back on going out! (This is indeed miraculous times we live in!:rotfl: ) I think I can do £65 a week instead of £75, so could you put me down for £280 for June please instead.
Thanks, and sorry to mess you around.
My grocery budget includes all spending on house/clothing/groceries/eating out and we have a separate pot for fuel and one for going out.
Many thanks, and see you all on the June Challenge!
